By the time 1994 rolled round, Richard Marx had made more fans and more money than he had ever dreamed. He had become a house hold name and his songs were adored world wide. Ready to release his fourth album, "Paid Vacation", whomed he worked with Luther Vandross, Linole Richie and country sensation: Vince Gill, Marx made it clear he was tired of Los Angeles and all it's spendors and it is clearly stated in a track off "Paid Vacation" called: "Goodbye To Hollywood". He and wife, Cynthia, and now 3 sons, Brandon, Lucas and Jesse, moved back to Illinos. Marx gained success for his 2 singles off "Paid Vacation": "Now And Forever" and "The Way She Loves Me", while the third single: "There Ain't Nothing Left Behind Us" stayed on the Adult Comtemporary music charts for a few months. For the longest time, Marx was not heard from either in the media or any new material on the radio. I wondered what had happened to him. But when 1997 rolled around, I heard the song: "Until I Find You Again" by Marx. It was the most beautiful ballad I had heard from Marx in a long time. It was the first single off his 5th album, "Flesh & Bone". A song written through the eyes of Marx on how his life would be if his lost his wife. And although I have not heard any other material come off that album, eeven though he had released a sexy ballad called "Touch Of Heaven", and the album did not do nearly as well as all his others, he still proved himself as an artist. How did he do that? Well in mid-1997, Marx recieved a phone call being asked to preform the theme to the hit movie: Anastasia, with British singer Donna Lewis. "At The Beginning" was a hit on the Adult Contemporary charts as the movie it belonged to becamed the animated movie of the year. Marx, now 35 years old and still going strong released a greatest hits album, in early 1998. It features all of his loved and well known songs and even a new one. Named "Angel's Lullaby".
