Although Dodges had been kicking butt on the drag strip since 1961,
the 1967 R/T was a new sensation, the powerful 440 or optional street
HEMI made it a potent performer in a mid-size body!
Also in 1968 the Super Bee bowed and wowed!
Even the family econo-sedan became a little powerhouse, the Dart is a Swinger!
In 1970 the Dodge Challenger and Demon were both new, great years!.
In 1972 when the compression ratios dropped due to unleaded gas
and polution equipment robbed power some innovative dealers such
as Mr. Norm got creative. Below is the Grand Spaulding Supercharged
Demon package, a real mover!
In 1968 the restyled Dodge Charger was introduced, one of the most
beautiful designs Chrysler ever produced! The one below is a HEMI-Charger!
No more need be said!
I know that the superbee above is a 1970, I am still looking for a photo
of a 1968 superbee with the bumblebee stripes.
The Challenger was a late arrival in the pony car wars, but it was one
of the best!
The Demon bowed in 1970 along with the new Challenger, a Demon 340 was
a hot little ride!
The 1971 Demon was just as great
The Demon also came in some special packages for 1971
And now the Nineties gives us the great Dodge Viper!
