When the first explorers and colonists from the Old World first set foot in the New World I am willing to bet that they were scared shitless. There were the known dangers of Indians and wild animals and unknown dangers of what was over the next ridge. Early explorers still believed in mythical monsters like dragons and demons. But they still saddled up, went forth, and created the greatest nation the world has ever seen based on divine and natural rights. Many of these natural laws were spelled out in the Bill of Rights.
Islamics terrorists who claim their religion and god gives them the moral authority to do anything they need to impose their religion on an unwilling world. Their cruelly has no bounds as they kill mass amounts of men, women, and children -- even other Muslims if they are not in complete agreement with their beliefs.
And what do progressives, elites, and our political leaders do out of fear? WE have to try to understand them, WE have to take the blame for their actions, WE have to self-censor, WE have to give up of some of our constitutional rights, WE have to have gun control so Americans will not target Muslims in their community.
So we appease the Islamic terrorists to show then we mean them no harm and to leave us alone. Winston Churchill wrote: “An appeaser is one who feeds a crocodile - hoping it will eat him last”. History shows that appeasement never works but delays the inevitable as the party being appeased demands more and more until there demands are so great that the appeaser either has to say no more or completely submit to the enemy. I fear that our current leadership will submit rather than fight.
I and many other American do not agree to be part of that cowardly WE. I belong to WE THE PEOPLE, real Americans and Freeman who will never back down and will take action when warranted. If our leaders will not confront the terrorists the People will and when the battle is over WE will march on Washington and deal with the appeasers who betrayed us.
Today the United States is fast becoming two countries as stated above. One side is becoming more socialist with its seeking control of the means and ways of production, the subordination of the individual to the state, and a large and intrusive central government that will take away our freedoms, our wealth, and property to redistribute to buy groups and individuals that the government deems worthy to "right" past "wrongs" and turn them into dependent slaves.
The other side is those Americans who still believe in capitalism and personal profit, limited government, and the representative republic that the founding fathers gave us. Socialism and republican self-government, both a political and economic issue, cannot exist in the same place and the same time and sooner or later the issue will have to be decided. The New Federalist advocates a peaceful secession of a part of the United States allowing each side to go its own way. Else there will be a revolution sooner or later as the political system breaks down.
The question actually comes down to this: do you, as an individual, want to live as a free citizen in a free country or as a subject in a progressive.socialistic/fascist society?
Do you want to build your personal wealth and pay less taxes to a government that performs only those powers and duties that We The People allow them to do through the Constitution? Or do you want to become nothing more than a cash cow for a government that levies progressive taxes to "redistribute" wealth and property from whom the government considers to be "rich" to those who are considered to be "poor" at the cost of losing your wealth, property, and freedoms?
Do you believe in equal justice under law or laws such as "hate crimes" that gives special rights to perceived victims if they meet some kind of government classification making them "more equal" than other people like the liberals do now and NAZIs did in the past?
Do you want to keep your God given rights of property ownership and raising your children as you see fit without control or interference from the state? Or do you want the state to mandate how you can control or use your property and how to raise and educate your children?

I feel we are at the point that the United States and its political institutions are too sick to fix; too many people have traded their freedoms for security and welfare from the state. Not security in the form of protection from foreign enemies and terrorists but in the form of handouts and special group privileges legislated by the two political parties in exchange for votes.
It has gotten much worst since the election of President Obama and his totalitarian reckless boldness along with his fellow Democrat party members. There is now an ideological political deadlock in Congress which is turning more and more nasty each day. The progressives/fascists are trashing the Constitution and borrowing and spending more and more money robbing unborn generations of their God-given right to property, wealth, and freedoms.
The progressives are taking over major parts of the economy such as health, automotive, banking and finance, and student loans through regulations and bullying. It is very important for personal freedom to build and hold a wall of Federalism between the national government and the States as provided by the Constitution in the Ninth and Tenth Amendments. Government at all levels must be held to the high standards of the Constitution. Everyone should study the Federalist Papers and other writings by the founding fathers and replace progressive Democrats, RINOs, and moderate (cowardly) Republicans with those conservatives who will uphold the Constitution.
Because of all these dynamic changes I am renaming my long time Confederacy Project to the New Federalist which I think is more descriptive and I have been modifying the proposed Constitution to reflect this change. I have also added many restrictions on what the government can and cannot do.
The political goals will be the same as the former Confederacy Project but expanded way beyond a handful of seceding States from the Old Confederacy to the Heartland into Canada. Indeed any State, Canadian Province, Mexican State, or any Republic of the Americas who are also fed up with their central government.
To carry this out I foresee a new political party which can become a home and sanctuary for the grass roots citizens, peaceful secessionists, Tea Partiers, libertarians, and disgruntled members of the Republican and conservative Democratic parties who feel betrayed, ignored, and left behind by their leadership.
All these people can take on the Federal Government and either force it back to the vision of the founding fathers or lead the way to peaceful secession. Besides I am sure that the progressives/fascists and their fellow travelers and other useful idiots would secretly welcome secession to get rid of all the troublemakers who stand in their dream to create a new and better communistic society.
My scenario would be a more or less phased approach as follows:
PHASE ONE: Identify the best region of the country that could become independent. A first rate country needs access to ocean trade routes, a landlocked country is always at the mercy of its neighbors for access. Target States should be rich in natural resources for the creation of independent personal and national wealth which means no dependence on foreign aid. Dependence only leads to exploitation of the people and the land by other countries and international organizations, looting of natural resources, poverty, ignorance, bloody dictators, and revolutions as seen in many of the young Asian and African countries created as the old empires crumbled.
The most important thing to remember is that for new country to be successful, to keep it peaceful and constitutional, all the people who participate in new country must realize that until the final ties are cut we must still take seriously our rights and responsibilities as United States Citizens. That includes voting, paying our taxes, and obeying all laws, especially those having to do with firearms. This is not the place for racists, radical hate groups, tax resisters, or anti-government militias. We do not want to give any excuse or justification for the government to stop the movement by force.
PHASE TWO: Migration of all like-minded citizens to the target States. This is the hardest part, leaving job, friends, and families to move to an unknown part of the country. The potential nationalist movement could help in this effort by working with local job recruiters and real estate brokers, even arranging swaps with those persons who want nothing to with this plan and want to leave the target States.
PHASE THREE: For this, or any political movement to peacefully work, this revolution has to be bottom up. That is like-minded free citizens have to organize and take over, by lawful ballot, every elected office from the city council to the school boards to the county to the State and the seats in Congress. The biggest barrier at this point is to overturn State laws purposely put in place by the Democrats and Republicans to keep third parties from opposing them. We will have to fight for full ballot access.
Candidates and officeholders will have to be honest and disclose anything in their past that could cast doubt on their integrity else the national liberal press will eat them up alive. Of course the national press will attack them with lies anyway but why give them live ammunition? Because of a hostile anti-freedom leftist press the entire movement must be open and public. That way we keep the government at bay because their surveillance of our activities will show that what is said in private is also said in public. We have to police ourselves and expel members that knowingly break the law and, if serious enough, inform appropriate law enforcement authorities.
The people should also nominate a presidential candidate who could win all the Electoral College votes in the target States. As Florida and Ohio has shown in the 2000 and 2004 elections one State can make a difference in who is president. The main point is not becoming the President of the United States (it would be great if he did win) but to become a power broker to the presidential candidate or political party most willing to allow the target States to peacefully secede from the United States.
PHASE FOUR: When all political power is in the hands of the target States, the Governors and Legislatures would call for a constitutional convention and form the new country and take our place in the world.
