MusicMusic

Music was my first love,
and it will be my last
the music of the future,
the music of the past
to live without my music,
would be impossible to do
'cos in this world of trouble,
my music pulls me through

John Miles - 'Music'

I like music, which is kind of strange since I couldn't play a tune, or even sing a note (as many a friend of mine will willingly testify), but that doesn't stop m enjoying listening to it. It seems to me, that, as John Miles said, music does pull you through, no matter how unhappy, or depressed you feel, for whatever reason, no matter how big or small (though fortunately for me usually the latter), a familiar song or piece of music will uplift you, cheer you, and let you forget your problems. I find this works, often when the music reminds me of other things, like other senses do, a particular smell may remind you of a holiday, or a taste of a party, so a sound or piece of music may remind you of when you heard it first, or a lot... and so it helps you reminisce. But I digress... within these pages I have succeeded in compiling my top ten albums (currently), written various reviews of albums, and collected a selection of links to my favourite music sites
