Leila - born February 19th, 1983
This is a poem by Leila called the Forest, which she probably
wrote in second or third grade. I thought it was cute.
Deers leaping, rivers flowing, evergreens swaying,
bears hibernating, crickets chirping, coyotes howling,
rabbits hopping, birds chirping,
wildflowers blooming, too.
That's what a forest is about.

Hawaii
Come with me,
To a heaven by the sea
sun absorbing in my skin
exploring places never been
wild creatures running free
climbing in the mango tree
exotic flowers aromatize the air
beautiful beaches we will share
sun glistening on cerulescent water
temperatures rising
even hotter
when we are there
time goes too fast
and all the fun
is in our past.
