Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines'
"Sovereign of the Seas"

~ THE SHIP ~

We love cruises! On a cruise, everybody lives like the 'rich and famous'. The days and nights are filled with so many delightful things to see and do that the hardest part is choosing......or simply relax by the pool with an exotic tropical drink and do absolutely nothing! You are waited on hand and foot and you don't have to lift a finger for anything! Food, from gourmet to junk food, is available just for the asking 24 hours a day! What a grand lifestyle it is!

This is a beautiful ship and an excellent cruise line! We have never had better service on any other cruise we've taken! Superb!!

We took our cruise in August. This is sort of a risky time to take a cruise off the East Coast or in the Caribbean, as hurricanes are a danger this time of the year. The cruise ships change their itinerary if hurricanes are a threat, so you may end up going some place you had not planned on. However, the prices are quite a bit cheaper at this time of the year and, in my opinion, well worth the minor risk.

Ours was to be a four day cruise from Miami, Florida, to Nassau (Bahamas), Coco Cay and Key West, then back to Miami. There had been a hurricane pass through the islands a week before which knocked out the docking area at Coco Cay, so our itinerary changed. We had to skip Coco Cay and spent the day at sea instead. But that was just fine.....very relaxing. There is plenty to see and do on board a cruise ship!

On this page, are some photos of the interior of the ship. Photos, I believe, always leave a little something to be desired, as they never seem to capture the beauty of things as seen by the naked eye!

This is a photo of one of the two Pools, and the Gazebos you see are Hot Tubs:

The round structure in this photo is the Viking Crown Lounge. It has a 360° view from its windows.

The "Centrum"....the Main Lobby of the Ship.

The "Centrum"
The cylindrical glass and brass objects are elevators.

Not a very good shot of the Casino, as we were not allowed to take pictures in the Casino. This is where we left our $$.

The "Schooner Bar" is right next to the Casino....we tipped a few in there to mourn our losses!

The Showroom. Here there was a different show nightly, and they were wonderful!

CONTINUE TO NASSAU......
