6 -10 HENRIETTA McKAUGHAN: born 3 February 1893. She was a journalist. Died March 1973, Portland, Oregon. She had a very interesting and colorful life. She worked her way around the world on a steamer once and was put out because she couldn't find a captain who would take her again because she was 70 years old. She lived in a cabin about 3 miles from town in Alaska at one time and walked to work when she could. After she retired, I tried to get her to help me but she said she was more interested in helping to clean the air than hunt dead relatives. Never married.

Harry Joseph Larrick, 92, Lawrence, Kansas. died April 26, 1993, at the home Services were April 28 at Newcomer's Floral Hills Chapel; with burial in Floral Hills Cemetery. The family suggests contributions to Baptist Medical Center.

Mr. Larrick was born in Edgerton and lived in Lee's Summit before moving to Lawrence earlier this year. He worked for the U. S. Postal Service in Kansas City before retired. He was a member of the Wornall Road Baptist Church.

Survivors include two sisters, Inez Squires, Gardner and Zula L. Sawyer Baldwin City.

Thomas Larrick, retired professor emeritius of architecture at the University of Florida, died Monday of cancer. He was 72.

A native of Kansas born and raised at Edgerton. He retired in 1971 after 24 years at the University.

Professor Larrick financed his collage education by working as a railway mail clerk. He attended the University of Kansas, where he received two bachelor's degrees and two graduate degrees in architecture and engineering.

After serving as a draftsman on the midwest architect's office, he opened his own office in 1932 as an engineer in Lawrence, Kansas, where he stayed for seven years. During this time he designed the Old City Auditorium at Gardner.

Before coming to UF in 1946, he served as a department chair at Ohio University and as a member of the Army Corps of Engineers during World War 11.

Mr. Larrick was a member of University City Kiwanis Club, The Athenaeum Club of Gainesville the Florida Association of Architects, the American Institute of Architects, the Association of University Professors and was a registered engineer in Kansas, Ohio and Florida.

As a member of the First Presbyterian Church, he served as deacon, Sunday school class president and member of the planning committee.

He is survived by his wife, Edna Larrick; two daughters, Shirley Larrick Ballowe of Jacksonville and Gwendolyn Larrick Marks of Torrance, California. Two sisters, Mrs Ed Squires of Gardner and Mrs Floyd Sawyer of Baldwin City; three brothers, Dela and Harry Larrick of Kansas City, Missouri, and Paul Larrick of Twin Falls, Idaho; and five grandchildren.

The family requests expression of sympathy in the form of contributions to the building fund of the First Presbyterian Church of Gainesville.
