![]() Jan 10, 1999 Happy (and very late) New Years! Sorry for not updating in a while. We had some computer problems.
NEW: Hana Yori Dango movie. (by HYA) Please note: the Hana Yori Dango movie was originally planned to be coupled with the live-action Hana Yori Dango movie that Team Abcb is subtitling. HYA and Abcb still plan on making a tape with both movies, but neither of them know when that will be happening. Because the Hana Yori Dango movie (HYA) is only 30 minutes long, HYA filled the tape with... their silliness. More information about it is on their page, so take a look.

Jan 16, 1999 We're sorry about the delays on recent requests. We're dubbing at our usual pace, but the sorting, packaging, and sending part is taking more time. Not to worry... we are expecting some help this weekend. AWest ran a SVHS master of Rurouni Kenshin 5-8 on Friday (1/15), but they found some mistakes, so they want to fix them before giving us the tape. The translation notes are filled with historical and cultural facts, so it's very educational.
Jan 17, 1999 New Titles: Kodomo no Omocha 1-4 and 5-8 by KodoCha Anime. We'll have a review posted soon.
Jan 20, 1999 The Sony rep said he expects Rurouni Kenshin to be released in DVD format (of course VHS too), with English subtitles and English dub... but it would be up to the distributor. For those who don't know, Sony already has an English dub made.. called "Samurai X," which is quite bad. Hopefully there will be a subbed version. We don't know anything about the release date, since the Sony rep didn't know either. Be sure to buy a copy (subbed) when Rurouni Kenshin is released in the US.
