| The Black Moon Family |
The Black Moon Family is a family banished to a moon called Nemesis in the 30th century. To avenge this action, they decide to destroy the planet Earth by destroying the past. To do this, they must get the Rabbit and the ginzuishou (Silver Crystal).
The following characters are members of the Black Moon Family:
Rubius
The
Ayakashi Sisters
(note: in Japan, they are pronunced as the following: Rubeus = Roo-bee-us;
Sapphire = Sah-fee-ru; Emerald = Esme-roo-doo; Prince Diamond = Pr-een-su
Dah-mon-do; the Wiseman = wise-u ma-n [kinda emphasize the 'n'], Beruche
= Be-ru-chay. The others are pronounced as they look)
Rubius was the first of the 'main' henchmen. He was subordinate to both the Wiseman and Prince Diamond. He failed many times in trying to capture various crystal points, which surrounded the future site of the Crystal Palace. Finally, he succeeded in capturing four of the Senshi: Sailormars, Sailorvenus, Sailorjupiter, and Sailormercury. He crucified them on quartz crosses in his spaceship. Sailormoon devised a plan to fool Rubius by pretending to give him the Silver Crystal, and freed the Senshi. Rubius, a complete failure, died as his ship exploded on a timer he had set up himself. Emerald was the last to see him alive.
Emerald
Emerald took over Rubius' duties. She set up crystals in crystal points to take them over, but the Senshi foiled all of her plans. Emerald was vain, ambitious, overly confident, and full of herself. Her comrades and subordinates were annoyed by her laugh and personality in general. As Prince Diamond fell in love with Usagi, she became jealous and devised ways to avoid bringing Sailormoon to Diamond. At this point, Wiseman became frustrated with the Black Moon Family and was planning to get rid of them. He took Emerald out by giving her a crown, which turned her into a green dragon, which symbolized her jealousy. The Senshi killed her, though.
Sapphire
Sapphire was Prince Diamond's brother, and it is hinted that he was in love with Emerald. When the Ayakashi Sisters were still evil, he was in love with Petz, though. Sapphire learns of the Wiseman's sinister plans for the Black Moon Family, and tries to inform his older brother, Diamond, but his brother is not convinced. He decides to do something about it by taking a computer chip from the energy generator thing, but the Wiseman finds him and kills Sapphire, calling him a traitor - all in front of Prince Diamond himself.
Prince Diamond
Prince Diamond is the head of the Black Moon Family. He was the one who gave out orders to everyone under him, including the Wiseman. Diamond was kinda suave, and was madly in love with Usagi. He took Sapphire's death pretty hard. He was killed by Wiseman by shielding Sailormoon from Wiseman's black energy.
The Black Lady
The Wiseman brainwashed Chibiusa after Emerald's death by convincing her that no one loved her, and that no one cared enough to celebrate her birthday. He put a spell on Chibiusa, and she became older in looks, and more powerful. Now the Wiseman had the Rabbit, but he still needed the Crystal. The Black Lady used Luna-P to create weapons to use against the Senshi. She was healed by Sailormoon, and together, with Neo-Queen Serenity, she destroyed the Wiseman
The Wiseman
The Wiseman was this entity enshrouded by a black cloak. He had weird
colored hands, and carried a crystal ball, which enabled him to see the
whereabouts of various people. He got tired of the Black Moon Family, and
got them all killed. He was the one who captured Chibiusa and brainwashed
her, turning her into the Black Lady. He was killed by the Small Lady (Chibiusa)
and Neo-Queen Serenity (Sailormoon's older self, and mother to Small Lady),
and his Dark Crystal was destroyed and the black gate closed for eternity.
