MacTCP Watcher

The following definition is gotten from the Info-Mac abstract file: MacTCP Watcher v1.1.2 displays the internal data of MacTCP. It shows this Mac's IP, DNS name, and all the internal information that MacTCP provides . It will also list all the currently open TCP connections, and the information on each of them. As well, it allows you to test MacTCP and your network, using the ICMP Ping protocol, the UDP & TCP Echo protocols, and it tests out the DNS by looking up the name of a given IP or IP of a given name. It should be useful to people having MacTCP configuration troubles, network or Domain Name System problems, or the cronically curious. It takes a good Mac to support this application.

MacTraceroute 1.1

The following definition is gotten from the Info-Mac abstract file: MacTraceroute is a program that attempts to trace the route an IP packet would follow to some internet host. It is not guaranteed to be 100% accurate, but more often than not is close enough to reality to assist in debugging network problems. Requires the Traceroute Ethernet LAP or a Traceroute capable LAP. Please note that MacTraceroute does not work with any PPP implementation except MacSLIP 3.0. I would recommend this program as well for spying and hacking.

The following definition is gotten from the Info-Mac abstract file: NetFind/Mac is a utility for locating people and their email addresses over the internet. It is a front end to the NetFind program available on various SUN servers located around the internet. Another good utility for spying and hacking.

Network Time o.8.2

The following definition is gotten from the Info-Mac abstract file: Network Time is a control panel program that sets the clock on your Macintosh computer to the correct time of day. To do this, Network Time contacts a time server using the Apple MacTCP network software to get the correct time of day. Network Time automatically adjusts your clock taking into consideration the time zone and the daylight savings time rules that you configure using the Network Time control panel.
