The story revolves around a concerned race car driver, Duke Marshall (who tows his racer with a Kaiser), and his efforts to stop reckless games of "tag, chicken, and cut off" by the teens with their souped up cars. A nation wide law enforcement program to encourage young drivers to sign a pledge not to race on open highways and to encourage participation in the National Hot Rod Association backed the film.
