In this section, you will learn of the many different strange, exotic, and sometimes dangerous places within the large Burneal Forest. Although the usual starting point for a character is the small clearing near Silvermoon, your character may find him or herself in strange surroundings if they wander long enough. Remember! Location is very important! Wherever you are, please clearly place your locale somewhere in your tagline to avoid confusion. If Gregoris the half-elf is in the clearing, in his tag it should say *in the clearing* somewhere. Or if Sahira has found herself somewhere in the Whispering Trails, it should state *Whispering Trails* somewhere in her tag.

Burneal Forest- This is perhaps the largest forest in the whole of Aenaria, and is located in the northern-most reaches of the untamed wildlands of Warglind. It stretches for roughly twenty miles from west to east, and twenty-five miles from north to south.

Silvermoon- Located in the northeast of the Burneal Forest, these several small villages in the northeast make up the settlements of Silvermoon.

Shattered Bone Lands- In the trollish tongue, it translates roughly to Ug’den Thog. The many villages scattered throughout the southwest comprise the territory of the Shattered Bone clan trolls.

Shadow’s Run Trail- The long stretch of forest which runs from north to south between Silvermoon and Ug’den Thog has been the sight of many a struggle between the elves and trolls for centuries, making it the common scene of battle when war or the occasional skirmish arises. It roughly stretches for seven miles from west to east, and thirteen miles from north to south.

Shimmering Falls- The beautiful forestral lands to the northwest are known for their many flowing clear-water brooks, streams, falls, and rivers which come in from the sea…and also for its seclusion, for very few trolls or elves venture there. Legends of sprytes, spirits, and other magical beings living undisturbed within this dark wood have sprung up in both the elven and troll imagination, but as to whether these tales of ghostly spirits and troll and elf alike dissapearing while venturing into the "haunted" wood have any truth behind them, is a mystery... (Note to players: When playing in the Shimmering Falls area, always assume that it is haunted, and the player will always be getting the urge that something is very strange in these woods, and will be compelled to leave at the earliest convenience)

Whispering Trails- Also known to the trolls as the "Gru’lak’ulag," or Severed Spine in their tongue, the Whispering Trails are an expanse of forest in the southeast corner of the forest. It made up of one of the more visually pleasing areas of the Burneal Forest. The extreme edges of the forest are made up of well-tended paths, and routes of passage that are mainly used by the elves. When nearing Silvermoon, the paths tend to be cobbled with stone, and planted, well-kept hedges and other splendid sights are tell-tale sights of civilization of sorts. But the paths are a risky business, as in times of trouble (or even tranquillity), troll raids have been known to be made upon unsuspecting travelers…
