Born 01 October 1856, Kinney Grover, near Victor, Iowa, the son of Nathan Northup and Harriet Sherlock . Died 24 November 1933, Nodaway, Iowa. He lived near Audubon, Iowa and farmed until 1901. He sold his farm at Audubon and bought one south of Nodaway, Iowa where he and his wife farmed and raised their family. He is buried at Calvery Cemetery, Corning, Iowa.

Wife: HESTER COGLAN, born 16 November 1861, North Liberty, Iowa. Died 22 August 1930 at Nodaway, Iowa. Married on 06 November 1883 at North Liberty, Iowa. Buried at Calvery Cemetery, Corning, Iowa. She was the daughter of John and Mary Coglan.
