Homer Harvey Northup was born the child of Nathan Northup and Harriet Sherlock on 26 February 1867, Iowa County, Iowa. He married 4 times:

Wife (1^st):         JENNIE DARLAND, married 1890/91 in Nebraska.  Died 22 November 1898.

Children:          Ruby, b. 23 December 1893.  Died 17 November 1974.  She married William Warren Dehoney on 05 December 1917.  He was born 26 April 1895 and died 26 August 1989.  Their children are William Wayne, born 22 August 1918; Eugene, born 02 March 1920; and Homer Robert, born 09 March 1922.

                        Oliver, b. 02 August 1896.

Wife(2^nd):         “LIZZIE” SULLIVAN, married January 1900 in Nebraska.  She was a widow with three teenage children.  They had no children.

Wife (3^rd):         MYRTLE JOHNSON MAXSON, married in March 1904.  She had one adopted child named Orville, born 28 January 1900.  They had no children.

Wife (4^th):         GRACE EMRICH, BORN 20 October 1883 in Ohio.  She died 24 October 1981 in Greeley, Colorado.  Married Homer in 1910.

Children:          Audrey Opal, born 12 August 1911. 

                        Homer Earl, born 20 March 1914.

                Harry Lytle, born 01 April 1916.

                Lotys Charlotte, born 21 November 1918

                Vesper Maxine, born 12 October 1924.

Homer worked as a farmer, teacher, Singer Sewing Machine Agent, Insurance Agent and was in the Real Estate Business.  He and his last wife Grace homesteaded near New Raymer, Colorado .  He was also an auctioneer, Real Estate Agent and Justice of Peace while living in CO.
