Tom Grimley: Runs Poop Alley Studios in Los Angeles, California. He is also a member of the Rentals. He used to date Petra, but they recently split.


Charlie Haden: The legendary jazz musician, and Petra's dad. Petra developed a lot of her talent by being around his music. He was born in Iowa in 1937, and has worked with artists such as Pat Metheny, John Coltrane, and Ornette Coleman.


Josh Haden: Singer and guitarist in the band Spain, and Petra's brother. He was inspired to start the band after hearing That Dog practicing.


Rachel Haden: One of Petra's sisters. She started playing the piano as a child. She currently plays bass and sings in That Dog.


Tanya Haden: One of Petra's sisters. She started playing the cello as a child, and she occasionally appears playing cello on That Dog songs. She created Imaginaryland, Imaginarybear, and all that other Imaginarystuff. She is also studying animation, and might do cartoons to go along with some of the Imaginaryland songs.


Poop Alley Studios: A recording studio used by many Los Angeles bands, including Petra Haden, That Dog, and the Rentals.


the Rentals: A band consisting of Rod Cervera (guitar), Matt Sharp (vocals, Moog, bass), Cherielynn Westrich (vocals, Moog), Pat Wilson (drums), and Tom Grimley (Moog). Petra is not in the band. They rented her.


That Dog: The five piece band out of L.A. that Petra plays violin and sings in. The other members are: Anna Waronker (guitar, vocals), Rachel Haden (bass, vocals), Tony Maxwell (percussion, everything), and Kenny Woods (guitar). The band currently has three albums; that dog., released in 1994, Totally Crushed Out!, released in 1995, and Retreat From the Sun, released in 1997.
