I've been an X-Files fan since Thanksgiving 1997, when I recorded the entire Marathon after just seeing one episode the previous week. Since then, I have been totally obsessed with the show, have seen every episode (including all on tapes), and I try to do and see as much X-Files things I can do.

The X-Files Expo

For example, last year, my friend Tracie (who got me hooked on X-Files), and I were *desperate* to go to the eXpo in L.A. After constant begging at our parents, they gave in. Tracie's dad took us. We were on cloud 9! Everywhere you look, there'd be fans, pictures, vendors, games, props, anything! We even got to ask Mitch Pileggi a question.. which he wouldn't answer (he said we were too young! Well. I guess we were. I was only 12 at the time and Tracie was 13. But stiiiiiill!)

We also saw Steven Williams talking about X's death in the show. It was pretty funny; he was lying down on the floor and re-enacting his death scene where he spells out SRSG. Instead, crouched on the floor, he traces, while speaking in a strained voice, "D... A... M... N..!"

Tracie and I were hysterical, leaping from vendor to vendor, snatching up souveniers and getting our picture taken "in Mulder's office." (Actually a green set and the computer simulates the office, pencils in the ceiling included.)

As we left.. we did the only thing an X-Files fan would do. We stood outside of the hangar and screamed at the top of our lungs, "WE LOVE X-FILES!" Below is one of the pictures that was taken of us. (I'm the shorter one and that's when I still wore glasses and looked freaky.. -er.)

Meeting Dean Haglund, Ringo Langly on The X-Files

Hmm.. I also wrote to Dean Haglund in an e-mail and got a reply back. That was pretty cool! I also sent away from an offer on his website and got an autographed picture.. which has now taken part of my X-Files shrine.

On October 26th, 1999, I also got to meet Dean Haglund! (With who else, but of course, Tracie!)

It was actually pretty awesome how everything fell together. If one day, I hadn't gone to his site, didn't send away for an autographed picture of him, I wouldn't have gotten the postcard advertising for his one-man improv show Paranoia Will Destroy Ya!. (See, what'd I tell you?)

After I got the card, I went on for weeks, begging my parents to let me go. Finally they gave in! We called in for reservations (only $8 a ticket, is that great or what?) and Tracie and I anxiously waited for Tuesday to roll around.

When the day came, Tracie and I were psyched up and couldn't think of anything but the show. At my house, we were so bored because the show didn't start until 8. So we had a little too much fun with some old chalk we found [g]. After what seemed forever, my parents and we left for L.A.

The Zephyr Theatre was somewhere on Melrose. Even though L.A. is nearby, even though we go to L.A. all the time, we couldn't find it. Because it was dark. (Probably.) We saw it squeezed between two shops and parked in a nearby parking garage.

It was about 7 p.m. now and the show didn't start for an hour but that didn't stop us. We were the first in line and Tracie and I stood there, guarding our little area, nearly peeing with excitement. [g]

About.. 7:30 I think, they let us in and there were only a few people there. We got our tickets (which also were programs) and stood outside the doors into the theatre.

7:45 they let us in and Tracie and I spazzed out and raced to the closest seats, which were in the front row. It wasn't a big theatre, maybe able to hold 80 people. It had a couple raised tiers for chairs and then an open area for the "stage". Black curtains were all in the front behind the stage with a chair and a microphone. There was music playing (that sounded like Weird Al or something!). I had a death grip on my white school binder (which on the front has X-Files and Nsync pictures) which contained my special X-Files Fan Club magazine with the Lone Gunmen on the cover. This older guy (maybe in his early 30's or late twenties) was sitting behind us and I could tell was a big X-Files fan (X-Files shirt, wanting to see my X-Files binder [g]).

A little after 8, the show started. Dean introduced himself and told us what the show was going to be about. I don't think I can tell you much about it (copyright stuff?), but it was seperated into 4 parts, and Dean was playing four different people in each. There would be a random person in the audience he'd choose for the first 3 parts and a volunteer for the last.

The first guy had to do sound effects as Dean acted and said what he was doing. The guy wasn't that great at sound effects, and Dean would always be blurting out hilarious comments on them.

The next one was a woman who was his "arms". Dude, it was so funny! That's all I can say about it!

The third was a guy in the audience was Mulder and he and Dean would sometimes pick up little scraps of paper with sentences written by the audience. It was so, so, so funny because some things were so stupid but made us laugh so hard. (Just if you want to know, Tracie and mine were "Cheesy socks taste good" and "The Cheese Stands Alone". Inside jokes.)

Lastly, someone from the audience volunteered for this part. They had to move Dean, because he was "frozen". Pee your pants hilarious, I'm telling you! I thought I was gonna die from laughing so hard.

The show.. oh man, I don't think I've laughed so hard in my life. I was curling up in my chair, in hysterics. I practically peed my jeans from it!

Afterwards, we got in line to get autographs!! Tracie and I were about 5th in line, behind a few other girls. We got his autograph on a few things and even pictures! [shrieks in excitement] When I get time, I'll scan them in with my evil scanner.

Then it was time to go. :(

But it doesn't end there!

Guess who went aaa-gaaaain.

Yes! I convinced my parents to take me again! This time my dad took me and Tracie, so us 3 went by ourselves.

After he picked us up from ComedySportz practice on the 16th of November, we drove back into L.A., and since it was pretty early, grabbed a bite at Johnny Rockets, a 50's style restauraunt across the street from the Theatre.

WAITING IN LINE TIME!!

...

...

They let us in, then we waited outside the theatre doors. (If you're wondering what we were waiting before in the first place, it was out on the sidewalk behind a chain rope to get let into the main area of the theatre.) Tracie and I were going psycho, bouncing around, laughing, talking and acting just plain weird. This one guy that I assume works at the Theatre was passing by, doing theatre-stuff I guess, and then I started bugging him [g] and saying "I have ESP! You are 32 years old!" I was wrong! But he was nice and asked us about the success of the show. I said it was very good (and obsessive!). Repeat: THE SUCCESS OF THE X-FILES IS HUGE!! THERE ARE MILLIONS OF FANS AND ANYONE I KNOW WHO WATCHES IT GETS HOOKED! Okay. Had to say that.

Then they opened the theatre doors and let us in. We got front row again!

The show, again was incredibly funny. For the 3rd part with the scraps of paper, Tracie had written "Hey baby, meet me at my place tonight at 8." (I think it was like that!) and hers was the last one read. And I'm pretty sure [is thinking hard, because I have a bad memory] that Dean had asked who had written that and I pointed at Tracie and we were laughing like idiots and he made fun of us. [g]

Okay, the last one with the volunteer? Tracie said, "Teresa! GO!" So I nervously raised my hand and he picked me! [flies into a wall!] I was SO nervous and excited! I shook his hand and I almost melted.

He asked my name, I told him. Where I go to school and I was like, stuttering from being so nervous. He had noticed my X-Files shirt and said, "Yeah there's one with me on it. Not to put any pressure on you." 'Course, everyone cracked up. (If I could find a shirt with TLG on it, I'd buy it!! I SWEAR!)

So then, we started. I was so freaked out because I thought I'd do something stupid. But Dean was so funny, so I didn't look all that idiotic. [g] I had a blast, and then it was over. Sigh. We had to go, but Tracie and I went back in, and I got an autograph for my friend.

We started our drive home, and stopped by a gas station to get something to eat and drink. I caaaaaarefully wiped my hands with a little handi-wipe thingy and I'm gonna frame it on the wall with the caption THIS IS THE HANDI-WIPE THAT WIPED THE HAND THAT TOUCHED DEAN HAGLUND. I know, I know, psycho, aren't I? [eg]

Meeting David Duchovny, Fox Mulder on the X-Files.
Well.. let's see what else. Oh, yeah, how could I forgot! Me and Tracie met David Duchovny.. Wanna know how it happened? Below is a kind of long story how it is.. (Shut up, I get dramatic. It's EXCITING, okay?! )

Well.. it's a rather long story, but I'll tell you anyway.

It all started on March 14th. I went to the local mall with my friend. We were at the music store and went up to the counter to buy our stuff. Then, something caught my eye and I nearly passed out. It was an advertisement taped to the counter reading "XFILES TAPING - 300 EXTRAS 18-60"

I knew I wasn't 18 years old, but the nice people at the record store signed me up. (After I was hyperventilating at the counter.) Yay!

The taping was just about 20 minutes from my house in the nearby city of Ontario at a minor league baseball field. It would be for two days on an episode that David Duchovny wrote and would be directing.

The next day was school, and my parents wouldn't let me skip school. Anyway, I thought they wouldn't let me in since I wasn't 18 years old. So, my mom went in my place instead.

During science class around 9:30 the next morning, the classroom's phone rang during some educational movie our teacher put on. She whispered to me that I was needed at the office. I was freaking out. I thought something bad happened. I nearly ran all the way to the office and my heart was beating so fast. It ended up my dad picked me up to take me to the taping!!

My mom had called him because she saw other teens and kids there and told him to get me there RIGHT AWAY. He said she even saw David there and I just screamed!

The parking lot of the baseball field was crammed with cars, trailers, and people. My dad didn't know where to dump me off at, because my mom was at the extras casting. I was told to go up to this one man by a trailer, so I did, I explained the story and he told me to go and follow him to the extras area to find my mom. As we were walking there I saw David, swinging a baseball bat talking to someone. My heart just stopped. The man had me follow him into the stadium and David walked right by me!

Finally, I got over to the extras casting area. I got signed up and was assigned an outfit. We all had to dress in these dorky 40's clothes but I didn't care!

Then, it was time for the taping. It was a long, long day of us extras just sitting in the stands, moving back and forth in the bleachers, cheering, gasping, talking, etc. In the middle of the day during some sort of break, David was by the director's tent and my mom went up to him and said "David, David, can you take a picture with my daughter?" I almost melted in embarrasment. I couldn't believe she did that! But David replied, "Sure!" My mom called, "Teresa!" Shakily, I walked over and went up right next to David (who put his arm around me, Ahh!) I was so nervous I even said, "I think I'm gonna have a heart attack." And he said, "No, no, don't do that we don't want that to happen." *SNAP* and my mom took the picture.

Needless to say, that made my century! I was so excited and freaked out, I couldn't believe it. At the end of that day's taping, we each got a free t-shirt with "X-FILES" on the back and then "THE UNNATURAL" logo on the front. As we were waiting for the bus to take us to the airport (where the car was), I had called my dad on our cellphone and told him I met David! It was unbelievable.

As we were getting into the car, some young teenage girls (who I met earlier and we all had lunch together) were yelling goodbyes to everyone and waved to me. After an excited exchange of yelling goodbyes and "Hope to see you tomorrow", I climbed in the car, wondering if I'd go again the next day.

When I got home, I immediately called my friend Tracie, who is a fellow X-Files fan. She didn't believe me the first time I told her but then she did. Our parents gave in and Tracie, her mom, me, and my mom would go to the taping the next day!

Well, I'm getting really tired writing right now, and I'll go into detail later. But I'll tell a little more. Me, Tracie, and our new friend Theresa hung out together almost the whole time. We met a really funny and cool baseball player in the episode named Timex. (When I get the pictures scanned in, check in later to see the two days worth of pics )

Througout both days, there were raffles. With my mom and my tickets we want a Snapple hat (Because they donated the drinks for us) and an X-Files video. There was this REALLY cool guy, Mark Carter, who was in charge of casting the extras. I couldn't believe a man with such a stressful job can be so funny. He'd be going around, talking with us, joking around and all. He hosted the raffle, and I got an autographed script of "The Unnatural" episode.

They announced that David would be taking pictures and doing autographs that night. So for two hours, Theresa, Tracie, and me stood in line in the freezing cold weather. That picture above is of me and David on that night.

So ended two wonderful, wonderful days of my life. If you saw the episode, or have it on tape, check to see me! In that part when those two guys shoot people with the water pistols, in the top left hand corner you can see my friend Tracie and me. In another scene, you can see me and my mom talking, in the front row of the bleachers.

It'd had always been my dream to be in an X-Files episode and meet David Duchovny. I thank God because it finally happened.

Here is one of the pics with me and David.

You know what else I did? I know it sounds pretty stupid. You might have heard of it. I started this X-Files petition awhile ago to beg the X-People to keep the show going after Season 7. I got almost 800 signatures, which I thought was pretty good, considering I originally sent it to only six people. I sent it out awhile ago. I dunno if they got it, paid attention to it, or even bothered to read it. But hey, it was worth it.

Also, check out the Photo Gallery page. I'm going to be getting in a scanner-mode and scan in all the pictures I've got from the Unnatural xperience. Some good pictures..
