Patience    my    child!

You float with blue oceans surfing frothy wave.
I only wish I could dive in and save
the body that I miss, which drifts on tides
so we could laugh off demons as you take my side.
Your release came at such expensive cost.
I wander from year to year feeling lost.
Waiting for the day when together we'll share
the jokes no one else saw, or even cared.

I recall beach picnics among shells you'd acrue
and the stone you collected, I said was shark poo.
Your face as you dropped it, as I danced with mirth.
Oh how I wish, you were still of this earth.
Where I continue quiet and wait for that time
when we meet again, to recall each other as "mine".
