     To all to whom these presents shall come greeting – Know ye that we for and in consideration of the sum of fifty shillings for every Hundred acres hereby granted paid unto our Treasury by Francis Wordley, have given and granted and by these presents do give and grand unto the said Francis Wordley a tract of Land containing Three hundred acres lying and being in the County of Buncombe on Worldleys Creek, Beginning on a beach on the South East side of the said Creek within two poles of the band of the Creek on the back of a branch and runs South three hundred and twelve poles to a stake then West one hundred and fifty six poles to a stake thence North three hundred and twelve poles to a stake then to the beginning. Entered the fourth of June 1796.

     State of North Carolina - This Indenture made and agreed on this 22nd day of January one thousand seven hundred and ninety nine between Francis Worley of Buncombe County of the one part and Job Barnett of the same County and State of the other part, Witnesseth that the said Francis Wordley for and in consideration of the sum of two Hundred Pounds to him paid in hand by the said Job Barnett the receipt whereof the said Francis Wordley doth hereby acknowledge he the said Francis Wordley hat Bargained granted sold aliened and confirmed and by these presents doth grant Bargain all above and confirm unto Job Barnard his Heirs and assigns forever all the tract or parcel of Land containing three Hundred acres lying and being in the County of Buncombe on Wordleys Creek beginning on a beach on the South East side of said Creek within two poles of the creek on the Bank of a Branch

and then South three Hundred and twelve poles to a stake thence North three Hundred and twelve poles thence to the Beginning with all and singular the appurtenances whatsoever unto the said Land above mentioned belonging to or anywise appertaining and also the remainder and premises and every part thereof and the Estate Right Title and Interest claim and Demand of him the said Francis Wordley of and into the said Land and premises and every part hereof to have and to hold the said land and thereunto and all a singular the premises above mentioned and every part and parcel thereof mentioned with the appurtenances unto the said Francis Wordley his Heirs and assigns unto the proper use and behoof of the said Job Barnard his Heirs and assigns forever and the said Francis Wordley for him and his Heirs and the said tenements and premises and every part thereof appoint him and his Heirs and assigns to all and Every person or persons whatsoever to the said Job Barnard his Heirs and Assigns Shall and will warrant and forever Defend by these presents

     The State of Tennessee - To all to whom these presents shall come, Greeting: KNOW YE THAT by virtue of Entry No 605 dated the 11th day of Oct 1836 made in the Entry Takers office of Hickman County pursuant of an Act of the General Assembly of said State passed on the 9th day of January 1830 there is granted by the Said State of Tennessee unto Francis Worley a certain Tract or Parcel of land containing One Hundred acres by Survey, bearing date the 3rd day of February 1821 lying in the said county On the north side of Duck River on a Gin branch a north branch of Lick creek and bounded as follows to wit. Beginning on a White Oak the North East corner of a 50 acre tract of land in the name of said Worley, runs from thence North One hundred and thirty eight poles to a small white oak on the bluff of said branch, with a white oak and Spanish oak pointing, thence East one hundred and fifteen and nine tenths poles to a white oak with a poplar pointer, thence South one hundred and thirty eight poles to a stake, thence west with one hundred and fifteen & nine tenth poles to the Beginning.

With the hereditaments and appurtenances ; - To have and to hold the said tract or parcel of LAND with its appurtenances to the said Francis Worley and heirs forever.
In Witness Whereof Newton Cannon Governor of the State of Tennessee hath hereunto set his hand and caused the Great Seal of the State to be affixed, at NASHVILLE, on the 10th day of February in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and thirty six and of the Independence of the United States the sixtieth.

     The State of Tennessee - TO ALL TO WHOM THESE PRESENTS SHALL COME, GREETINGS: Know ye, that in Consideration of an entry made in the Entry Takers office of Hickman County pursuant of an Act of the General Assembly of said State passed on the 9th day of January 1830 there is granted by the Said State of Tennessee unto Francis Worley a certain Tract or Parcel of land containing One Hundred acres by Survey, bearing date the 17th day of April 1833 lying in Said County on the barren fork of Lick Creek and bounded as follows to wit..Beginning on a black Walnut in the North boundary line of Said Worley's one hundred acre tract; Runs from thence East at eighty seven poles passing his corner in all one hundred and seventy eight poles to a stake with three White Oaks pointers; thence North ninety poles to a beech on the bank of a small branch; Thence West one hundred and seventy eight poles to a stake with two Chestnuts, hickory and black oaks pointers on the hill side; Thence South Ninety poles to the Beginning.

With the hereditaments and appurtenances ; - To HAVE and to HOLD the said TRACT or PARCEL OF LAND with its appurtenances to the said Francis Worley and her (his) heirs forever.
In Witness Whereof James C. Jones GOVERNOR OF THE STATE OF TENNESSEE hath hereunto set his hand and caused the Great Seal of the State to be affixed, at NASHVILLE, on the 16th day of October in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty one and of the Independence of the United States the sixty sixth.
