*****************6th Generation***************** William Wynne born ca 1705 per his deposition in 08 Aug 1827 (Thank you Deloris) in Charles City Co., Virginia, married Frances _____ (Note: The maiden name of Frances has never been found or proven). Frances was born: 1707. William died in 1778 in Pittsylvania Co., Virginia as his Will that was dated 08 Oct 1776 was proved on 26 Nov 1778. In an excerpt from William's Will, he names the following: Grandson William Wynne of daughter Mary Wynne, wife Frances, sons William, Thomas and Robert, and other daughters Margaret Hendricks, Elizabeth Echols, Mary Wynne, and Martha Dixon (The Tyler Quarterly). William and Frances' children were: 1. John Wynn/Winn, born: 1725/26, Prince George Co., Virginia, and died ca 1794/95. His will was probated on 12 Feb 1795. John married Ann Stone. Ann was born in ca 1728 in Virginia, the daughter of John and Elizabeth Stone, and died on 12 Sep 1805 in Lunenburg Co., Virginia. Children: John, Peter, Lucretia, Littleberry, Mourning, Mary Ann, Jincey, Jerusha, Elizabeth and Malinda/Millender Winn. Click here to view John's Will 2. William Wynne, (See 6th Generation), born: 10 Aug 1729, Prince George Co., Virginia. 3. Thomas Wynne, born: ca 1730, Brunswick Co., Virginia, and died: 1795 in Wilkes Co., Georgia. He married Mary Echols ca 1752. Mary was the daughter of Richard Echols. Thomas made his will dated 29 Aug. 1791 in Wilkes Co., Georgia. Children: Thomas, Obediah, Rhoda, and Lucy Wynne. Click her to view Thomas Wynne Will 4. Robert Wynne, born: 1736, Brunswick Co., Virginia. 5. Margaret Wynne, born: 1739, Brunswick Co., Virginia. She married Hance Hendricks. Hance was born ca 1723. Margaret died on 02 Jan 1797 in Laurens Co., South Carolina. Children: Micajah, William Wynne, Fanny, Margaret, Rachel, Mary, Elizabeth and Martha Hendricks. 6. Elizabeth "Betsy" Wynne, born: 1741, Brunswick Co., Virginia, and died in 1778 in Virginia. She married Moses Echols born: 1725 in Virginia, and died: 1819, the son of Richard Echols. Children that I have: Obediah, Druscilla, Evans, Priscilla, and Tabitha A. Echols. 7. Mary Wynne, born: (1742?, Brunswick Co., Virginia). She married ______ Wynne (named in her fathers Will as Mary Wynne). Children: William Wynne.
8. Martha Frances Wynne, born 11 July 1743, Brunswick Co., Virginia. She married Lt. Col. Henry (Hal) Dixon on 15 September 1763 in Halifax Co., Virginia. Hal was born in 1740, the son of Henry Dixon and Elizabeth Abernathy. Hal died 17 July 1782 in Caswell Co., North Carolina. Martha died in 1807 in Caswell Co., North Carolina. Their children were: a. Wynne Dixon b: . b. Roger Dixon b: 1764, Caswell Co., NC. c. Robert Dixon b: 1770, Caswell Co., NC. He married Jenny Brooks/Brookes on 22 Nov 1796 in Caswell Co., NC. Robert d: 26 Apr 1800, Caswell Co., NC. d. Elizabeth Dixon b: 1774, Caswell Co., NC. She married Nathaniel Williams, Jr. on 20 Jun 1792, Caswell Co., NC. Nathaniel b: 14 Aug 1768, Orange Co., NC, the son of Nathaniel Williams and Mary Williamson. Nathaniel remarried and d: 1830 in Jefferson Co., AL. e. Frances Dixon b: 1775, Caswell Co., NC. She married Armistead Brookes Flippen. Armistead b: 14 Dec 1770 in Gloucester Co., VA, the son of Thomas Flippen and Dorothy Brookes. They were listed in the 1820, 1830, and 1840 Smith Co., TN Census. Armistead d: 08 Jun 1842. Frances was listed in the 1850 and 1860 Smith Co., TN Census records. f. Henry Dixon b: 1777, Caswell Co., NC. He married twice. Henry married firstly to Mary Johnston. Mary b: 1776 in VA. She d: 1838. Henry married secondly to Rhoda Hart. Rhoda b: 13 Jun 1805 in KY, the daughter of John Hart and Patience Lane. Rhoda was married twice before. Henry d: Nov 1858 and Rhoda d: 26 Sep 1854. g. Susannah Dixon b: 1782, Caswell Co., NC. She married John Williams on 10 Jan 1800 in Caswell Co., NC. John b: 15 aug 1777 in Caswell Co., NC, the son of Nathaniel Williams and Mary Williamson. They were listed in the 1820, 1830, and 1840 Bedford Co., TN Census. Susannah d: sometime after 1840 in Bedford Co. TN. John remarried and was listed in the 1850 and 1860 Bedford Co., TN Census records. John d: 1871 in Bedford Co., TN.
