     William Wynne, born 10 Aug 1729 in Pittsylvania Co., Virginia. He married twice. He married first to Mary Cynthia Harmon in 1752. Mary was born in 1735 in North Carolina. Mary died on 17 July 1776 in Tazewell Co., Virginia.

     In the name of God Amen I William Wynne of the County of Tazewell and State of Virginia Being weak in Body but of Sane Mind and Memory and calling to mind the mortallity of my body and knowing it is appointed for all men to die do make and ordain this my last will and testament in maner and following.
     First I recommend my sole to God who gave it and my body to the earth to be buried in a desent maner at the descration of my Executors first I will all of my Just Debts to be paid out of my Estate I give and Bequeath to my wife Phillis the plantation I now live on with the appertunances there unto Belonging also all the slaves and stock and household and kitchen furniture and all the farming utensils except that I shall Bestow on my children hereafter named for the support of her and her children during her widowhood but if she should marry she is only to have a fetter bed and furniture and ten pounds Exclusive of her
     I give and bequeath to the heirs of Ruth Washhum Deceast and to Orphy Edward my two oldest Daughters one Dollar each they have Received their part and to Sally Jones my third daughter ten pounds in trade she having received her part;
     I give and Bequeath to my son John Wynne and Hugh Currin all my wright and title to a piece of land called and known by the name of the Vallentin plantation whereon Henry Harmon now lives should they gain said land they are to repay to me or my Heirs all cash heretofore expended on the same that of clerks notes
     I give and Bequesth to my five sons William, Jonah, Elkanah, Oliver, and Harmon sons of my first wife to have twenty pounds each in trade they having got their part before to be paid at the discretion of my Executors when they see it Best
     I give and bequeath to my sons John and William my present wifes children the tract of land I now live on to be Equally divided acording to quanity and quallity after the Death or Marriage of their Mother and the six hundred and sixty six acres of land being in powells valley I give and bequeath to my sons Samuel, Robert, Harry, Peter and James to be Equally divided between them according to quantity and quallity My land being in Burks Garden I give and bequeath to my son Miner also that My Son John be furnished with two cows and calves to yews and lambs and bed and furniture also my seven youngest sons namely Samuel Robert Henry Peter William James and Miner with a horse beast saddle and bridle two cows and calves two yews and lambs and a bed and furniture each and my daughters Mary one Dollar she having got her part and my daughter Pheby and Margaret one Dollar each they having got their part and Elizabeth, Martha, Anna, and Nancy to have one mare and colt saddle and bridle two cows and calves two yews and lambs each the youngest to be furnished cloths equal to the two oldest and with all to be furnished with household furniture equal to the three that are married at the discretion of my executors also I live my black smith tools and my rifle and shot gun for the use of the family during my wife's widowhood, further I wish money to be raised out of estate to school my children that has not a sufficient portion lastly I nominate and appoint my wife Phillis and my son Josiah and Christopher Marrs of this my last will and Testament, witness my hand and Seal this 11 day of May eighteen hundred and eight.

3. Orpha Wynne, born: 13 Feb 1757, Pittyslvania Co., Virginia. She married Peter Edwards.

4. Anne Wynne, born: 11 Nov 1758, Pittsylvania Co., Virginia (Possibly died before 1808 as she was not mentioned in her fathers Will dated 1808).

5. Jonah Wynne, born: 14 Dec 1760 in Pittsylvania Co., Virginia.

6. William Wynne, born: 20 Feb 1762, Pittsylvania Co., Virginia, and died on 26 May 1835 in Virginia. He married Elizabeth Echols. In his deposition for his Revolutionary Pension, William stated that he was born on 25 Feb 1762.

7. Josiah S. Wynne, born: 09 Sept 1765, Pittsylvania Co., Virginia, died: 12 Dec 1812 in Tazewell Co., Virginia. He married Mary "Polly" Whitley on 11 Mar 1786 in Montgomery Co., Virginia. Mary was the daughter of Robert and Virginia "Ginney" Whitley (Mentioned as daughter in Robert Whitley's Will and son-in-law Josiah, probated in 1808, and Ginney Whitley's Will probated in 1812). Children: Robert Whitley, Peter E., Oliver, David, John, Harmon, William C. A., Josiah and Jane Wynne.

8. Elkanah Wynne, born: 22 Oct 1767, Pittsylvania Co., Virginia, died: 18 Nov 1833 in Jonesville, Lee Co., Virginia. He married Mary Munsey on 07 Feb 1792. Mary was born ca 1775 in Virginia, and died on 22 Jun 1848 in Lee Co., Virginia. Children: Acles, John, Ashley, Wright, Elkanah, Sarah and William M. Wynne.

9. Oliver Wynne, born: 16 Nov 1770, Virginia. He married Sarah "Sally" Whitley. Sarah was the daughter of Robert and Virginia "Ginney" Whitley (Mentioned as daughter in Robert Whitley's Will probated in 1808, and Ginney Whitley's Will probated in 1812). Oliver died on 28 Apr 1858. Children: Magdelene, Mary "Polly", Jane, Morgan, Oliver, and Josiah M. Wynne.

10. Harmon T. Wynne, born: 06 Nov 1772, Virginia, and died: 1849 in Wayne Co., Kentucky. He married Elizabeth Peery ca 1797 in Virginia. Elizabeth was born: 1775, and died: 25 May 1849 in Gap Creek, Wayne Co., Virginia. Children: Josiah S., Zealy Moss, Mary "Polly", Elizabeth, Harmon, Sally, John A., and Assineth Wynne.

     a.  Josiah Wynne, b: 1798, VA. He married twice. He married firstly to Harriet Louvina Turner on 06 Jan 1819 in Wayne Co., KY. Harriet b: 1801 in KY. Josiah married secondly to Caroline E. McAnulty. Caroline b: Oct 1813 in KY. They were listed in the 1840 Mountain, Crawford Co., MO Census, and the 1850 and 1860 Lafayette, Crawford Co., AR Census. Josiah d: 02 Jun 1870. Caroline was listed in the 1880 and 1900 Lafayette, Crawford Co., AR Census records. She d: 22 Apr 1905. They are buried in the Peters Cemetery, Montainburg, Crawford Co., AR.

     b.  Zealy Moss Wynne, b: 1800, VA. He married Elizabeth "Betsy" Estes. Betsy b: 1805. They were listed in the 1830 Cooper Co., MO Census, and the 1840 Crawford Co., MO Census. Zealy was listed in 1850 Crawford Co., MO Census records.

     c.  Elizabeth Wynne, b: 26 Sep 1803, VA. She married Samuel Calhoun on 10 Nov 1820 in Wayne Co., KY. Samuel b: 1794 in VA, the son of David Calhoun and Pharibee Isley. They were listed in the 1840 Morgan Co., MO Census, and the 1850 Moniteau Co., MO Census and the 1860 Deepwater, Henry Co., MO Census records. Elizabeth d: 10 Nov 1861 and is buried in Teays Chapel Cemetery, Deepwater, Henry Co., MO.

     d.  Mary Polly Wynne, b: 1804. She married Aaron Dearing on 21 Aug 1823 in Wayne Co., KY.

     e.  Harmon Wynne, b: 1810, KY. He married Hannah Thompson on 06 Feb 1831 in Tazewell Co., VA. Hannah b: 07 Dec 1809 in VA, the daughter of George Thompson and Elizabeth Wilson. They were listed in the 1840 and 1850 Tazewell Co., VA Census. Hannah was listed in the 1870 and 1880 Elk Point, Union Co., ND Census records. She d: 13 Sep 1894.

     f.  Sarah "Sally" Wynne, b: 1811, KY. She married William Kidwell. William b: 1808 in KY. They were listed in the 1850, 1860, and 1870 Laurel Co., KY Census records. Sally d: 17 Aug 1871.

     g.  Assineth Wynne, b: 1814, VA. She married John Sandusky. John b: 09 Mar 1808 in KY, the son of Anthony Sandusky and Hannah Eaton. They were listed in the 1850, 1860, and 1870 Clinton Co., KY Census. John remarried and was listed in the 1880 Clinton Co., KY Census records. He d: 17 Jun 1882. They are buried in the Oak Grove Cemetery, Clinton Co., KY.

     h.  John A. Wynne, b: 23 Jan 1815, VA. He married Nancy C. Hall. Nancy b: 27 Mar 1817, KY. They were listed in the 1850 Wayne Co., KY Census. Nancy was listed with her children in the 1860 Wayne Co., KY Census. John d: 22 Sep 1869. Nancy was listed in the 1870 and 1880 Wayne Co., KY Census records. Nancy d: 17 Jun 1897. They are buried in the Gap Creek Baptist Church Cemetery, Wayne Co., KY.

11. Sarah "Sally" Wynne, born 17 Feb 1776, Virginia. She married twice. She married firstly to Samuel Jones on 23 Jul 1795 in Washington Co., Virginia. Sally married secondly to Waller Lewis on 16 December 1795 in Logan Co., Kentucky. Waller born 1773 in Spotsvania Co., VIrginia. Their children were:

     a.  William Lewis, b: 06 May 1797, VA. He married Ann F. Carpenter on 06 Jun 1816 in Louisa Co., VA. William d: 01 Jan 1840.

     b.  Emily Lewis, b: 25 Jul 1799, VA. She married Samuel Cole on 07 Oct 1816 in Louisa Co., VA. Samuel b: 12 Aug 1797 in Montgomery Co., VA, the son of Samuel H. Cole. Emily d: 18 Nov 1835. Samuel remarried.

     c.  Edwin Lewis, b: 10 May 1801, Spotsylvania Co., VA. He married Sarah Joanna Pollard on 21 Jan 1825 in Logan Co., KY. Sarah b: 1805 in KY, the daughter of Robert Pollard and Martha Meriwether. They were listed in the 1840 and 1850 Greene Co., IL Census. Edwin d: 03 Jul 1855. Sarah was listed in the 1860 and 1870 Greene Co., IL Census, and the 1880 Macoupin Co., IL Census records.

     f.  Benjamin W. Lewis, b: 08 Feb 1807, VA. He married Emmeline Cloud on 10 Oct 1825 in Logan Co., KY. Emmeline b: 22 Sep 1809 in Logan Co., KY, the daughter of Daniel Cloud and Nancy Owen. Emmeline d: 29 Nov 1832 in Logan Co., KY. Benjamin d: 20 Jul 1851 in Adams Co., IL.

     g.  Waller Lewis, b: 16 Mar 1809, Spotsylvania Co., VA. He married Emily Frances Washington. Emily b: 03 Jul 1807 in KY, the daughter of John W. Washington and Frances Baylor. They were listed in the 1850 and 1860 Logan Co., KY Census records. Waller d: 22 Sep 1861 and Emily d: 1862.

     h.  Charles Lewis, b: 11 Nov 1811, Spotsylvania Co., VA.. He died in 1816.

     i.  Dorothy "Dolly" Lewis, b: 09 Oct 1813, Spotsylvania Co., VA. She married James Overton Boyer on 05 Sep 1833 in Logan Co., KY. James b: 20 Aug 1811 in VA, the son of John P. Boyer and Margaret Dunn. They were listed in the 1850, 1860, and 1870 Logan Co., KY Census records. Dolly d: 06 Dec 1875 and James d: 21 Nov 1875.

     j.  George W. Lewis, Dr., b: 1815, Spotsylvania Co., VA. He married Lydia Catherine Darnaby. Lydia b: 1820 in VA. They were listed in the 1850, 1860, and 1870 Clark Co., KY Census records. George d: 06 Jul 1875.

      William married second to Phyllis Marrs on 01 January 1782 in Montgomery Co., Virginia. Phyllis was born 20 September 1763 in Augusta Co., Virginia the daughter of Samuel Marrs. William died on 08 July 1808 in Tazewell Co., Virginia and is buried in the Wynne-Peery Cemetery, Tazewell, Tazewell Co., Virginia. Phyllis died on 12 January 1855 in Livingston Co., Missouri and is buried in the Wynne Family Cemetery, Grundy Co., Missouri. Their children were:

12. John Wynne, born 14 Mar 1783, Tazewell Co., Virginia. He married twice. He married firstly to Olivia Peery on 25 Dec 1810 in Tazewell Co., Virginia. Olivia was born on 25 May 1872 in Tazewell Co., Virginia, the daughter of William O. Peery and Sarah Evans. John died on 07 May 1865 and Olivia died on 01 Aug 1844. Olivia is buried in the Wynne-Peery Cemetery, Tazewell, Tazewell Co., Virginia. John was listed in the 1850 Tazewell Co., Virginia Census. He married secondly to Elizabeth C.      h.  Armand Wynne, Dr.,b: 31 Dec 1828, Tazewell Co., VA. He married twice. He married firstly to Mary Jane Williams on 06 Jan 1859. Mary b: 1834 in VA, the daughter of Royal T. Williams and Delilah Sampson. Mary d: 08 Oct 1859 and is buried in the Middlebury Cemetery, Mercer Co., MO. Armand married secondly to Sarah E. Perkins on 16 Apr 1863 in Grundy Co., MO.      j.  Henry Fielding Wynne, b: 16 Nov 1837, Tazewell Co., VA. He married Susan Coen. Susan b: 14 May 1841 in PA, the daughter of Moses Coen and Susannah Wisecarver. They were listed in the 1880, 1900, 1910, and 1920 Daviess Co., MO Census records. Henry d: 21 Mar 1920 and Susan d: 23 Jan 1922. 13. Mary Polly Wynne, born 19 March 1784, Tazewell Co., Virginia. She married William Peery. William was born in 1784 in Tazewell Co., Virginia. Mary died on 27 July 1816 in Tazewell Co., Virginia. William married secondly to Theresa Kinser and died on 20 September 1866 in Wythe Co., Virginia. Mary and William's children were:

14. Margaret Wynne, born 23 Jun 1786, Tazewell Co., Virginia. She married Hugh Currin. Hugh born 1779 in Virginia, the son of Robert Currin and Ann Thomasson. Margaret died on 18 December 1816 and Hugh died on 08 June 1818. Their children were:

Catherine d: 18 Aug 1851. Wesley remarried and was listed in the . 1860, 1870, and 1880 Russell Co., VA Census records. Wesley d: 23 Oct 1887 in Russell Co., VA.

     d.  Hugh Francis Currin, b: 12 Feb 1816, Tazewell Co., VA. He married Ruth J. Deatheridge on 17 Mar 1847 in Smyth Co., VA. Ruth b: 09 May 1816, NC. They were listed in the 1860 and 1870 Smyth Co., VA Census. Hugh d: 08 May 1877 in Smyth Co., VA. Ruth was listed in the 1880 and 1900 Marion, Smyth Co., VA Census records. She d: 09 Dec 1902. They are buried in the Round Hill Cemetery, Marion, Smyth Co., VA.

15. Elizabeth Wynne, born 10 April 1787, Tazewell Co., Virginia, died 05 June 1817.

16. Phoebe Wynne, born 10 January 1788, Tazewell Co., Virginia. She married Samuel Witten on 08 January 1807 in Tazewell Co., Virginia. Phoebe died on 13 April 1814.

17. Samuel Wynne, born: 31 July 1789, Tazewell Co., Virginia. He married Sarah "Sally" Hix on 02 September 1813 in Tazewell Co., Virginia. Sarah was born in 1790 in Virginia, the daughter of Joseph Hix. Samuel died on 18 September 1817 and is buried in the Wynn-Litton Cemetery, Dryden, Lee Co., Virginia. Sally married second to William Ewing and died 20 May 1872 in Lee Co., Virginia. She is buried in the Ewing-McClure Cemetery, Jonesville, Lee Co., VA. Samuel and Sally's children were:

     a.  William Wynne, b: 1814, Lee Co., VA. He died young and is buried in the Ewing-McClure Cemetery, Jonesville, Lee Co., VA.

     b.  Lavina H. Wynne, b. 08 Sep 1816, Lee Co., VA. She married Dixon Sharp Litton. Dixon b: 04 Dec 1818 in VA, the son of Alexander Litton and Mary Vermillion. They were listed in the 1850, 1860, 1870. 1880, and 1900 Lee Co., VA Census records. Lavina d: 03 Jun 1904 and Dixon d: 10 Dec 1906. They are buried in the Wynn-Litton Cemetery, Dryden, Lee Co., VA.

18. Robert Wynne, born 10 September 1790, Tazewell Co., Virginia. He married 1st to Margaret "Peggy" Russell on 01 September 1812 in Tazewell Co., Virginia. Robert married second to Lavina Hix on 04 February 1813 in Tazewell Co., Virginia. Robert died in 1818 (Will probated on 25 August 1818, Tazewell Co., Virginia). Robert and Lavina's children were:

She d: 30 Sep 1855, Wolf Creek, Tazewell Co., VA. William married secondly to Millie Weaver b: 19 Mar 1922 on 26 Jul 1856 in Giles Co., VA. Millie b: 19 Mar 1922 in VA, the daughter of Vincent Wheeler and Rebecca Martin. They were listed in the 1860 Tazewell Co., VA Census and the 1870 Rocky Gap, Bland Co., VA Census. 22. Anna Wynne, born 19 November 1795, Tazewell Co., Virginia, and died on 22 September 1817. She married James Charles on 19 January 1815 in Tazewell Co., Virginia.

23. Peter E. Wynne, born 09 February 1797, Tazewell Co., Virginia. He married Mary E. Correll. He died 25 May 1818 (Will probated 24 November 1818, Tazewell Co., Virginia). Their children were:

Sophia was born on 01 December 1798 in Virginia, the daughter of William O. Peery and Sarah Evans. They were listed in the 1850 Dist. 35, Grundy Co., Missouri Census, and the 1860 Madison, Grundy Co., Missouri Census. James died on 16 April 1868 in Livingston Co., Missouri. They were listed in the 1850 and 1860 Grundy Co., MO Census records. Elizabeth d: 05 Nov 1864. Henry remarried and d: 04 Sep 1890.

     b.  Luemma Phyllis Wynne, b: 1827, Tazewell Co., VA. She married twice. She married firstly to Edward G. Cravens on 11 May 1848 in Grundy Co., MO. Edward b: 17 Nov 1819. They were listed in the 1850 Grundy Co., MO Census. Edward d: 09 Jun 1860 and is buried in the Wynne Family Cemetery, Grundy Co., MO. Luemma was listed in the 1860 Madison, Grundy Co., MO Census living with her parents. She married secondly to Ulysses T. Greene. Ulysses b: 1827, Nashville, Davidson Co., TN, the son of Eldridge Greene. Luemma d: 05 Jan 1880 in Chillicothe, Livingston Co., MO and Ulysses d: in 1892. They are buried in the Edgewood Cemetery, Chillicothe, Livingston Co., MO.

     c.  Pembroke Sommerset Wynne, b: 29 Sep 1831, Tazewell Co., VA. He married twice. He married firstly to Malinda Harris Garvin on 01 Aug 1862 in Grundy Co., MO. Malinda b: 31 Dec 1844 in Madison Co., KY, the daughter of Martin Garvin and Jael Kavanaugh. Malinda d: 28 Feb 1868 and is buried in the Wynn Family Cemetery, Grundy Co., MO. Pembroke married secondly to Malinda's sister Mary Ann Garvin on 02 Jun 1869 in Grundy Co., MO. Mary b: 23 Nov 1842 in Madison Co., KY. They were listed in the 1880 Lincoln, Daviess Co., MO Census. Mary d: 10 Nov 1885. Pembroke was listed in the 1900 Trenton, Grundy Co., MO Census records. He d: 22 Feb 1909. They are buried in the Wynne Family Cemetery, Grundy Co., MO.

     d.  Evans Perry Wynne, b: 04 Jun 1833, Tazewell Co., VA. He married Hannah Melvina "Melvina" Byrd on 14 Sep 1854 in Davies Co., MO. Hannan b: 07 Feb 1834 in MO, the daughter of John M. Byrd and Rebecca Wilson. They were listed in the 1860 and 1870 Madison, Grundy Co., MO Census. Evans d: 27 Sep 1875. Melvina was listed in the 1880 Madison, Grundy Co., MO Census records. She d: 11 Dec 1885. They are buried in the Wynne Family Cemetery, Grundy Co., MO.

     e.  Sarah Ann Wynne, b: 01 Jun 1836, Tazewell Co., VA. She d: 10 Oct 1855 and is buried in the Wynne Family Cemetery, Grundy Co. MO.

     f.  Nancy Louise Wynne, b: 1838, Tazewell Co., VA. She married David Alexander Williams on 15 Apr 1858 in Grundy Co., MO. David b: 19 Oct 1832 in Prince Edward Co., VA, the son of Royal T. Williams and Delilah Sampson. They were listed in the 1860 Madison, Grundy Co., MO Census.

26. Nancy Wynne, born 01 January 1802, Tazewell Co., Virginia. She died on 06 June 1820 in Tazewell Co., Virginia.

27. Minor Wynne, born 11 April 1803, Tazewell Co., Virginia, and died on 07 May 1880, Grundy Co., Missouri. He married Emily Peery on 17 February 1825 in Tazewell Co., Virginia. Emily was born on 05 February 1805 in Tazewell Co., Virginia, the daughter of William O. Peery and Sarah Evans. Emily died on 23 Mar 1878. They were listed in the 1850 Dist. 35, Grundy Co., Missouri Census, the 1860 and 1870 Madison, Grundy Co., Missouri Census records. Minor died on 07 May 1880 and Emily died on 234 March 1878. They are buried in the Wynne Family Cemetery, Grundy Co., Missouri. Their children were:

     a.  Cosby Ann Wynne, b: 27 Aug 1834, VA. She d: 28 Apr 1858 and is buried in the Wynne Family Cemetery, Grundy Co., MO.

     b.  Samuel Logan Wynne, b: 05 Aug 1838, VA. He married Josephine Sparks on 29 Dec 1864 in Andrew Co., MO. Josephine b: 17 Nov 1847 in MO. They were listed in the 1870 Madison, Grundy Co., MO Census records. Samuel d: 09 Apr 1878 and Josephine d: 10 Jun 1876. They are buried in the Wynne Family Cemetery, Grundy Co., MO.

     c.  John Wynne, b: 25 May 1840, VA.. He married twice. John married Anna L. "Annie" Holt on 11 Mar 1866 in Fulton Co., MO. Annie b: 22 Apr 1911, MO. They were listed listed in the 1870 and 1880 Madison, Grundy Co., MO Census, the 1900 and 1910 Trenton, Grundy Co., MO Census records. John d: 02 Feb 1913 and Annie d: 07 Apr 1911. They are buried in the Wynne Family Cemetery, Grundy Co., MO.

     d.  Mary Oliver Wynne, b: 1846, VA.

     e.  Edwin Robison Wynne, b: 25 Jan 1849, VA. He married twice. He married firstly to Maria Byrd on 07 May 1871. Maria b: 17 Jul 1848 in MO, the daughter of John Byrd and Rebecca Wilson. Maria d: 02 Apr 1880. She is buried in the Wynne Family Cemetery, Grundy Co., MO. Edwin married secondly to Rebecca A. Caraway. Rebecca b: 13 Dec 1847 in MO, the daughter of Joseph Caraway and Mary Kipper. They were listed in the 1900 Madison, Grundy Co., MO Census, and the 1910 and 1920 Jamesport, Daviess Co., MO Census. Edwin d: 02 Apr 1921 and is buried in the Wynne Family Cemetery, Grundy Co., MO. Rebecca was listed in the 1930 Gallatin, Daviess Co., MO Census records. She d: 23 Nov 1939 and is buried in the Ketron Cemetery, Gallatin, Davies Co., MO.
