Like diamonds on black velvet they shine in the night reflecting off the ripples in the windswept pond. Dancing, sparkling, bringing light til dawns glow breaks the horizon sending them to their beds, to oblivion until dusks last twilight leaves and once again they come forth on a darkened stage to bring joy into the hearts of those who love... The Stars.
While the sky slowly fades the lights come up bathing the city in artificial sun The lights are so bright no stars can be seen Of what do city kids dream? They hear about the stars and how they shine at night but the glittering twinkle from millions of miles away cannot compete with the streetlights just down on the corner Maybe that is what is wrong with kids today city kids have nothing to dream of and country kids take it all for granted.....
Softly glowing on the eastern horizon as twilight darkens the night One small orb, a dim reflection of the suns brilliant light. Playful moonbeams dance through the swaying branches of the windswept evergreens as the wolf calls to its mate in the distance. Sparkling off the crytal lake and touching on the wide-spread wings of the snowy owl as it glides slowly thru the night. Slowly dimming on the western horizon as dawn reaches relentlessly towards another day, bringing light too bright for the magic to stay....
Some look for silver Others for gold Some look for diamonds Others for coal Some look for happiness Others for money Some look for solitude Others for company Some look for love Others for power Some look for noise Others for a quiet hour Doesn't matter what You're looking for, The end of the rainbow Is whatever you make it....
