Sponsored by Rend Lake Sporting Goods, these tournaments were started in 1999 by a local angler as a result of hearing many local fishermen say that they work weekends, cannot fish weekend tournaments and do not or cannot afford to pay a high entry fee to fish a tournament. We are pleased to report that the tournaments have produced a tremendous response.
These tournaments are open to anyone. You do not have to be a member of a club to fish the tournament. There are no dues to become a member in order to fish. They are always held on Rend Lake at Sailboat Harbor.
Registration and pre-tournament meetings are held every Wednesday night at 6:00 p.m. at the Sailboat Harbor. It is a buddy tournament, but you do not have to have a partner. You can fish by yourself if you wish. Entry fee is 20 USD per boat and big bass pot is 5 USD per boat. Payback is 60/40 up to 14 boats. Payback is 50/30/20 for 15 boats or more. Fish allowed are largemouth bass only.

The first tournament of the year 2006: to be announced
Sunday, August 6, 2006 on Rend Lake. Two-man team tournament with grand prize drawing for 2,000 USD cash. Entry fee: 150 USD per team includes 10 USD Big Bass pot. Take-off in order applications are received. Completed and signed entry form must be postmarked by July 30, 2006. Entry form will be available for printing shortly.
