2000:

10 February: Target date for completion of Incident Command System I-100 training by 75 percent of personnel.

12 February: Brigade Staff Meeting. Unit Leadership Course Session - Recruiting and Retaining a Quality Membership.

28 February: Target date for completion of Basic Training by 75 percent of all personnel.

20-22 March: Virginia Emergency Management Conference in Williamsburg, sponsored by the Virginia Emergency Management Association and the Virginia Department of Emergency Services.

8 April: Brigade Staff Meeting. Unit Leadership Course Session - Personnel Management Processes.

1 June: Start of Hurricane Season.

10 June: Brigade Staff Meeting. Unit Leadership Course Session - Defining an Emergency Management Niche.

12 August: Brigade Staff Meeting. Unit Leadership Course Session - Mission Training and Readiness.

October: United States Service Command National Conference in Chicago.

14 October: Brigade Staff Meeting.

1 December: End of Hurricane Season.

9 December: Brigade Staff Meeting.

(1) Quality membership goal: 30 members.

(2) Mission goals:

(2-a) Increase use of the Virtual Emergency Operations Center to at least four outside served agencies.

(2-b) Be capable of staffing at least one emergency operations center position in support of a supported agency.

(2-c) Complete phase two of the Virtual Emergency Operations Center.

(3) Training goals:

(3-a) Maintain 80 percent completion of Disaster Responder Basic Course.

(3-b) Maintain 80 percent completion of Incident Command System I-100 training.

(3-c) Qualify at least 80 percent of personnel in one Virtual Incident Command System duty position.

(3-d) Qualify at least 40 percent of personnel at the Basic Emergency Qualification Level.

(3-e) Maintain 80 percent completion of USSC Basic Training.

(3-f) Maintain at least 50% completion of the Unit Leadership Course.

(4) Operations goal: participate in a minimum of 12 actual disasters and disaster exercises.
