Exercise Coastal HURREX 2000 SITREP 7 -- 221700 July 2000 ------------
1. STATUS: Released as of 221400.
2. MISSION TASKING: Operate the Virtual Emergency Operations Center to test development of fused information in Coastal HURREX 2000.
3. LEVEL EFFORT: Personnel on duty today - 4. Total number of personnel available for duty - 4. Incident Commander, Logistics Section Chief, Situation Unit Leader, Time Unit Leader on duty off-site. Total person hours of direct work today - 6. Total hours of work on event - 44. Total staff days on event - 25.

5. EVENT: Simulated Tropical Storm Hurricane Archie is tracking northeast along the Atlantic Coast and has passed over New York. Bythis evening he storm is expected to have weakened and become extratropical.
6. SUPPORTED AGENCY RESPONSE: Two state level units of the US Service Command, a National VOAD member agency, have simulated placing their personnel on alert and conducting response actions.

1. STATUS: Activated.
2. MISSION TASKING: Operate the Virtual Emergency Operations Center to test development of fused information in Coastal HURREX 2000.
3. LEVEL EFFORT: Personnel on duty today - 4. Total number of personnel available for duty - 4. Incident Commander, Logistics Section Chief, Situation Unit Leader, Time Unit Leader on duty off-site. 5. EVENT: Simulated Category I Hurricane Archie is tracking along the Atlantic Coast as it moves northeast. Archie passed through Hampton Roads, Virginia, today at approximately 1700 and is fiorecast to reach Long Island, New York at approxiamtely 220500.
6. SUPPORTED AGENCY RESPONSE: Two state level units of the US Service Command, a National VOAD member agency, have simulated placing their personnel on alert.

1. STATUS: Activated.
2. MISSION TASKING: Operate the Virtual Emergency Operations Center to test development of fused information in Coastal HURREX 2000.

5. EVENT: Simulated Category II Hurricane Archie is currently located 32 degrees North and 78.8 degrees West approximately 60 miles south of Cape Fear, North Carolina. Archie is tracking north northwest at 12 knots and is expected to make landfall this evening near Morehead City, North Carolina and then track overland to pass over Hampton Roads,Virginia tomorrow.

2. MISSION TASKING: Operate the Virtual Emergency Operations Center to test development of fused information in Coastal HURREX 2000.

5. EVENT: Hurricane Archie is a Category II storm tracking northwest along the Florida coast toward a possible landfall on the coast between Jacksonville, Florida, and Wilmington, North Carolina.
6. SUPPORTED AGENCY RESPONSE: Two state level units of the US Service Command, a National VOAD member agency, have simulated placing their personnel on alert.

1. STATUS: Activated.
