Usually when returning from a break in a double-length, there's a caption saying "continuing transmission", but this ep doesn't have one. We get just static. Anyways, static cuts back to 60 yelling "Keep firin' soldiers, give 'em heck!" Lots of firing later... 86 reacts to 362 telling her that she sent Sector V in: "We're dewmed...!" Gotta love a Scottish accent.
And Sector V's sure in trouble since they all got turned into animals. Tommy sees Father's ray pass straight through the door, and he frantically runs like nuts, and runs into the Children. "I'm 'Kids Next Door' now, so that's big brat to you, Delightful Children from Down the Block!" "That's 'Down the Lane'!" Did we mention that the Children don't speak indepedently of each other? Makes them that extra creepy. Anyways, T gets going since he can't talk to animals (unlike Eliza), and the ray is passing over the Children... with no ill effect as it turns out.
The ray only affects KND ops apparently, and T asks how it knows the difference. "Who cares? Let's talk turkey, turkey!" T continues running like mad and exits the mansion just ahead of the spreading ray. He passes 86, and he frantically tells them about the ray. While 86 is trying to get him to calm down, 86 gets turned into a barking red-furred dog by the ray. Another operative, "Numbuh 44" (also voiced by Lauren Tom! and there are two of them!) comments, "That figures", and rushes off screaming like the rest of the ops.
The ray picks off some of them (the pair of 44's become a kangaroo and its baby, for example), and T drags 362 out. Hidden from view for now is the part of her that the ray did touch. Father watches them "run away like animals! (insert cackle here)" to the moonbase. Father sure knows how to be snarky.
Moonbase auditorium. A tight shot of 362 speaking to the decimated members of the organization pulls out to reveal that she is monkey from the waist downwards. Anyways, they have to devise a plan to save themselves, and some random girl with glasses (judging from the wrench, I'm guessing a techie?) suggests modifying the birthday suits (seriously guys, do you have to call them that??) to counter Father's ray. We see that another op's arms have turned into horse legs. 362 says "We're going back and showing Father what happens when you make a monkey out of the Kids Next Door!" Snarky much? Crowd goes wild.
Empty corridor. T looks at the earth, now surrounded by Father's ray. T is disappointed at how things are going on what was supposed to be the greatest day of his life (seriously, that's what T is calling it) since he just wanted to join his brother on the team, but 362 promises to get his brother and crew back to normal. "We're Kids Next Door, and we don't quit!" The suits are ready, so 362 calls battle stations.
KND wipe, as everyone's getting on board their planes. 362 still won't let T go on the mission, because she doesn't have enough suits and wants as much experience as she can get, even though T has a score to settle. KND wipe again! They're flying back to earth, and they fly into the spreading ray with their suits on full protection. And they still get turned into a bunch of animals like cows and monkeys, and their planes have become marooned. Back at the moonbase, T sees the action and calls Father a "boogerhead", and recites that "The Kids Next Door never ever quit... Or do they???" This can't be good... KND wipe!
