Mr. Im, Sang Bin

Teaching with the University of Maryland, Asian Division has been "a very exciting experience." As the Korean Language Coordinator for the university, Mr. Im is "especially proud of teaching in the largest Korean languate program of all American universities...we have the highest enrollment."

In addition to coordinating and teaching for the univeristy, Mr. Im assists with a range of other business for the University throughout Korea.


Mr. Im's Field Trip





The field trip was taken during his class, KORN 105, Introduction to Korean Language and Culture, and I was invited to come along to take photographs of his trip to Tongdaemun, East Gate Market, and one of the many palaces in the within the city of Seoul.




Mr. Im has been teaching for the University of Maryland since 1960 making him the senior faculty member of the University in Asia. Mr. Im has a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Hankuk Univeristy of Foriegn Studies and a Master of Arts degree in Linguistics from Konkuk University.




In both 1968 and 1972, Mr. Im was invited to coordinate Korean language and cross-cultural origrams for U.S. Peace Corps Training in New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
