The following are photographs that has been collecting computer dust in the 'Mix and Match' file.

Remember, not all photographs taken in a group need a theme.

Sometimes a group of pictures with nothing in common has a greater effect.

Mix and Match, II

"Harmony"

This shot was taken at Sea World in Aurora, Ohio. You know, that was the last place to think of having a Sea World amusement park. Anyway, it's interesting to know that the man on the killer whale was a summer hire during college. His major? Computer Telecommunications. Go figure...

"Showtime"

Magic Johnson made an appearance in Seoul, Korea in July 1997. I won the tickets to the game by answering this question:

"Who was the last time, before the Chicago Bulls, to repeat as NBA Champions, and when did it happen?"

If you know the answer, sign the guestbook, and I'll get back to you with an on-line prize.

"An alley in Luxembourg"

This was taken before my interest in photograph grew. Not sure if I shooting the alley, or the colors of the sky (hard to do when it's black and white film), or the guy with the dog. But the picture does meet one of my requirements for a good photograph: it looks cool.

"Peace"

The first reaction to this shot was the surprise I actually got the guards to smile. Honestly, they were the ones who approached me. I made about 5 copes of the shot in the hopes of giving one to each of the guards in the shot. They move around the city...

"Through the Fog"

Namsan Tower sits in the middle of Seoul atop Namsan Mountain. Radiating from the mountain are 20 million people. Namsan in Korean means, Southern Hill.

"Bang the Drum"

Working for the University of Maryland, one of many responsibilities is to plan the annual commencement ceremony. With the help of the field representative, we all went to a ballgame after setting up the banners, chairs, etc... It has become an annual event.

"Toy Soldier"

Next to Yongsan Garrison is the Military History Institute, a.k.a. The Korean War Memorial. Every Friday, the Korean National Drill Team, dressed in yesterday's and today's uniform, performs to the crowds that appear.
