Okay, here's another page full of tragedy and misery.
While it may seem inappropriate to post such photographs, I like to
think that such photos would help deter people driving like
maniacs and realize the damage and heartache of such actions.
A couple of days ago, there was a photo in a local newspaper (not
my own) that showed a photograph of a woman sitting inside her
mangled car. She was slumped over, and face bloodied. She was
flown from the accident to a hospital in Fairfax. Needless to say,
the public was outraged. But in a small community like Shenandoah
County, where it is so close-knit seeing a friend or an aquaintance
is disturbing.
But would the public have the same feelings of a photograph of a
woman sitting in her managed car if it was taken in The next county
over, in California, Germany?
The perception of tragedy has many faces, many nameless faces, but
doesn't really hit home until it happens to one of your own.

"Watch out for that car!"
This accident occurred on Interstate 81 before the Toms Brook exit
going southbound. The driver of the truck kept going straight when
the road curved to the left. At the scene, the driver did not
complain of any discomfort or injuried, but after an accident like
that, the adrenaline is a natural painkiller. That is, until it
wears off, then you'll feel it - like the driver did after about an
hour.
This is a typical two-car accident. The driver of one wanting to turn
left, and the driver in the other lane going straight. This
particular accident occurred on Route 42 outside Woodstock.
Now this was tragic. Yes, that's the wing of an airplane.
Just a reminder to always wear your seatbelts.
