If you ever want to be surprised and shocked about the earth, then take a tour at one of the three caverns in the area...

The first one, Endless Caverns is located on Route 11 south of New Market. Like the title says, they're still exploring...

Crystal Caverns, in Strasburg, gets it's name, I guess, from the name written above the fireplace... You have to realize I've never taken the tour there as many of these photos were taken for a story on the local caverns... I can say, that it's very tight, low so wear a padded hat or something...

Shenandoah Caverns is very popular with many tourist traveling through the area... There are signs all over the place, so it's no wonder. I do have to admit it is amazing to see a very large rock being supported by three points inside the caverns... And the points are very, very small. Another interesting site is the bishop. It's the black and white photo to the left. If you ever get a chance to go there and see it ask yourself, "How tall is that thing?" I'm not going to say... You'll just have to go there yourself. Heh, heh...
