Currently, our family includes Darcy, an elegant gray striped male, named after
Mr. Darcy in Jane Austyn's "Pride & Prejudice" who was born on my laundryroom
floor about 3 years ago; ...... Max, a lovely black cat who was a twin of Inky who
has since left our family, Max is very affectionate and loving and always enjoys
sitting on my desk while I work; ...... Sabrina, named for a movie, who is a startling
multi-coloured beauty who won 1st prize at the 1996 Oro World's Fair; and two new entries,
Icy, who is from Sabrina's second litter; Dustin a blonde kitten recently given to me by a student, and finally Starr who was also given to me by a student who is a black/grey striped tabby and who, while no relation to Max, has taken quite a liking to him and she often can be found snuggling up on top of her new daddy (she's only 7 weeks old).
It has been suggested to me, on more than one occasion, that it is rather ironic or strange that a woman
who has many allergies, not the least of which is cats, has so many sharing her
home. Well, I had friendships with cats long before I knew I was allergic to
them and, well, there's no going back now, folks.
Check out the photo album below which now includes
a few favourite pictures of our wonderful furrballs that we wished to share
with the world!
