His only real album to date, this is obviously a must have for anyone vaguely into DJ Shadow.

Even the intro to this album is phat and once you have listened to the opener "Building Steam From A Grain Of Salt", you will really know what all the fuss surrounding DJ Shadow is about.

Don't expect this to be a one off either, as once you've got past this, their is plenty more great tracks to come. The next track, "Number Song", is very in your face, with big hard beats and guitars, but in my view lacks some of the subltety, which makes DJ SHadow stand out from the crowd.

"Changeling" will let you know that Shadow is back on point and while I always skip over "What Does Your Soul Look Like Pt.4", as it sounds much better within the context of the full "What Does Your Soul Look Like" single, it still stands up as a solid track by itself.
