We woke up in New Mexico and continued our journey back eastward. We went through Texas. I would have liked to stop there for a while, but we only stopped once and that was for gas. We got to Oaklahoma and stayed there in some hotel. We stopped all early again too. That annoyed the hell out of me. Here I am, aching to get home, and we're always stopping before the dun even gets halfway down in the sky.

We woke up the next morning in Oaklahoma. We woke up a little later then we usually did too, so there was my father hollering about us running late. I was in the bathroom about ready to do my hair and he rushed me to hell and back. He was bitching about something about check out time being in 10 minutes. When we got in the car he was still bitching about us being late and how we should have gotten started and left by 6 a.m. My mom had to explain to him that we were on vacation and not running on a timed schedual. She told him we were on the vacation from hell. I can't say I dissagreed with her much. We did get to Tennissee that day though.

I must say that Tennissee was the best part of this trip. But, I guess that's to be expected. After all, I was having human contact with people OTHER than my parents. I always have fun with my cousins. I was a bit scared that it would suck because my cousin Crystal has a little 18 month old boy now, but it was still a lot of fun. Her little boy, Kayleb is a little devil. But he's cute as a button. Definatly a handful too. Every time I go to Tennissee I always want to stay there. I went to the mall like 3 times with my cousins and I went swimming and got the sunburn from hell. I mean, literally, 2nd degree burns. it's hell. I hate having such sensitive skin.

We left Tennissee about 11 a.m. on Friday, June 27, 1997. I didn't want to leave. I REALLY wasn't looking forward to that long drive home. But, I made it. And got home at midnight.
And in conclusion to this trip. Being that I traveld thousands of miles and all the way across the country, the radio stations changed frequently. Sometimes there would be a cool radio station, sometimes there would be a preppy station that was tollerable, sometimes there wouldn't be a radio station at all. But, all I have to say is, If I hear the song "Mmm Bop" or "Butterfly Kisses" ONE more time, I'm going to promptly shoot my radio.
