In January 1999, I traveled to Kenya, as part of a class on African Philosophy. The class was taught by my advisor, a professor of comparative philosophy who came from Kenya. There were eleven of us on that trip, from several different colleges around the state.
As trips abroad are wont to do, the time in Kenya changed my thinking considerably, especially from a philosophical point of view. And, both because I think that it was an important experience and because a webpage is an egotistical endeavor in the first place, I am posting some of my musings from the trip here for whoever might find them of interest. If you fit that description, read on.
This section will eventually have several parts, some of them more analysis or word-oriented, some for (of course!) photos.
For a while, the biggest project will be the journal, but I hope to add more photos to the pressbook, and eventually to add a photojournal as well. As this continues, I also hope to be able to produce a body of critical work resulting from the trip.
Time to go home?
