Doctor Pepper
.
Mark Wolthers and Craig Griffiths were walking on
their beat,
A fight call had been broadcast, just a little down
the street.
They headed up the roadway, to investigate the fun,
Some of the group of fighters, took off on the run.
.
Except a pair of stubborn guys, who continued with
their fight,
Even when police arrived, on this truly fateful night.
Despite the greatest effort, on the part of Craig
and Mark,
Nothing worked to split the two, out there in the
dark.
.
They fought like wounded badgers, standing nose to
nose,
The boys could use the service of, a trusty water
hose.
But Craig remembered something, which just might do
the trick,
While Mark moved in toward the two, to get them to
unstick.
.
Craig took out his Cap-Stun, his trusty pepper spray,
A goodly dose of that should work, to really make
their day.
He clutched the little canister, took very careful
aim,
And loosed a steady stream of it, at the players of
this game.
.
The spray just was not working, Craig really wondered
why,
He knew the stuff would really hurt, when you get
it in the eye.
Then he looked beside him, where Mark was standing
tall,
He realized at that moment, just where his spray did
fall.
.
For Mark was standing crying, his eyes were blazing
red,
In the next few seconds, Craig was sure he would be
dead.
Craig "Doctor Pepper" Griffiths, this poem
is now for you,
He's a pepper, Mark's a pepper, wouldn't you like
to be a pepper too?
