Code Three, APEC
.
The Man was going walkabout, through Gastown
in D Two,
A phalanx of his bodyguards, our guys,
and Mounties too.
Security was walking point, and what did
they then see,
A drunk down by the Steam
Clock, send a wagon there Code Three.
.
Traffic was all backed up, nowhere for
it to go,
Everyone was waiting there, to see a little
of the show.
As He wandered closer, and afraid that
He might see,
They called again on radio, we need that
wagon here Code Three.
.
Jimmy Ann was in that wagon, already on
a call,
He dropped it in the middle, he knew he
couldn't stall.
The Mountie in a panic, the drunk now
on one knee,
The Man was getting closer, did the wagon
go Code Three?
.
Jim was just a block away, his lights
were flashing bright,
Wrong way down on Cambie Street, he knew
he'd win the fight.
He rolled up to the Steam
Clock, a drunk he could not see,
Just a Mountie waving, to cancel his Code
Three.
.
The President of the USA, was half a block
away,
Keep this all low profile, the Mountie
was heard to say.
Don't disturb the Man in charge, of the
Land of The Free,
So please don't come into the scene, if
you're coming here Code Three.
.
Colleen Carroll, D2 radio, did not know
where to turn,
Her wagon now was trapped there, a lesson
she did learn.
When dealing with the APEC crowd, get
there in a rush,
But, make sure all your Code Three runs,
can all be done "Hush-Hush".
