The Champ
.
Charlene Meyer, attending to, The
Balmoral for a fight,
Standing in the bar room, looking
left and right.
She saw the main combatants, and moved
in to arrest,
Soon the skills that she’d been taught,
would go through quite a test.
.
The suspect turned so suddenly, she
was really out to lunch,
Got Charlene upside the head, with
one quick lucky punch.
While it put her on the canvas, she
was down but sure not out,
This whirling dervish, bounced right
up, to get back in this bout.
.
Paul Ballard is her partner, and already
jumping in,
Charlene was not to be denied, she
was going for the win.
Despite the fact she was outweighed,
by several hundred pounds,
There was no hesitation, she would
go the full ten rounds.
.
Nose to nose they faced off, none
would shed a tear,
Punching and a gouging, in the mud
and blood and beer.
The fight it did not last too long,
the good guys would prevail,
The suspect soon was all trussed up,
and ready for the jail.
.
This cop is sure a fighter, and challengers
should run,
She has a perfect record, she will
take on anyone.
Soon she will be leaving us, to go
to District Four,
And leave a perfect record, on the
bar room fighting floor.
.
Charlene wins, the flyweight belt,
the undisputed champ,
Paul Ballard is her trainer, in the
Two-Nine district camp.
She leaves us as a winner, and we’re
sad to see her go,
But she keeps her score unblemished,
a perfect one and oh.
