Ace Flewelling Pet Detective
.
James Flewelling and his
partner, Janet Ingo is her name,
Their adventure just the
other night, about to bring them fame.
It seems that Rocky Raccoon,
was looking for some fun,
So down to Skid Road he
did go, to take a little run.
.
James and Janet spotted
him, standing on the street,
Decided they would capture
him, not an easy feat.
Rocky saw them coming, and
headed to a tree,
If he could just get high
enough, maybe he’d be free.
.
James was still in fresh
pursuit, up the tree he went,
The branches all were straining,
some were really bent.
Janet stood below him, a
pillow case in hand,
Ready, set to make the catch,
when Rocky came to land.
.
The raccoon was being difficult,
James then tried again,
Using food for bribery,
was an edge he hoped to gain.
Janet still was ready, to
catch whomever fell,
Either way she’d be in trouble,
James or the ‘coon from hell.
.
Nothing tried was working,
the raccoon kept climbing higher,
James surrendered as he
neared, the live high voltage wire.
They packed up all their
weapons, food and pillow case,
Time for them to wash up,
they made a quick return to base.
.
So to our pet detectives,
don’t worry that he’s free,
I’m sure he’d get a lawyer,
at a large inflated fee.
At the courthouse down at
two, two, two, softest in the Nation,
You know that it is preordained,
at best he’d get probation.
