Pigeon Hunters
.
Tan Tran and his partner,
the rookie Darren Hall,
Were driving down the
laneway, waiting for a call.
Tan the scourge of dealers,
throughout the skid road beat,
When the druggies see
him coming, they turn and then beat feet.
.
No mercy is his motto,
ahead full, is his speed,
Darren is the new guy,
the kinder, gentler breed.
Suddenly a pigeon, flew
right at their grill,
Thump and crunch it
hit them, then lay there very still.
.
“Tiger” Tran then stopped
the car, a strange thing happened there,
The pigeon started flapping
then, to get back in the air.
Tan and Darren then
agreed, that something must be done,
One reached for a blanket,
the other for his gun.
.
A member nearly brought
to tears, by the injured pigeon’s plight,
The other one was ready
to, end the struggling birdie’s fight.
Tan kneeled beside the
pigeon, and with one large muscled arm,
Cradled the poor pigeon,
to protect from further harm.
.
Darren then took out
his ASP, and took the pigeon in his hand,
Gave it one great mighty
whack, and dispatched it from this land.
Took a walk on down
the lane, to dump the body off and leave,
In the closest, handy
dumpster, no time for Tan to grieve.
.
The boys are back on
duty, drug dealers best beware,
No place that they can
go to, to avoid the erstwhile pair.
“Batman” Hall can deal
with them, ASP all set to play,
Then “Tiger” Tran can
patch ‘em up, and send them on their way.
