Gassed
.
Doc was working in the yards,
just the other day,
A unit pulled in for some gas,
before going out to play.
The weather was the usual,
cloudy and now raining,
Jordon Lennox, new recruit,
was out there for some training.
.
Everything was going fine,
as he popped the gas cap lid,
Doc was going all around, doing
all the things he did.
Oil was checked, the washer
filled, gas tank being filled,
A lineup at the station, but
not a drop was spilled.
.
All these things were going
on, while his trainer sat beside,
Teaching
him just what to do, while sitting in their ride.
The tips were coming quickly, he was taking it all in,
Information overload, as his
head began to spin.
.
A call came in, they headed out, not in too big a rush,
Soon would be the incident, that caused a bright red blush.
From behind they heard a crash,
and felt the unit swerve,
What the heck had hit them,
who would have the nerve?
.
Flapping out behind them, from
the back side of the car,
A rubber
hose, just spewing gas, to and fro and far.
Doc was standing staring, as
the gas pump flapped behind,
.
But that would take away our
fun, and eliminate this rhyme,
And no-one could say to
So next time he’ll be careful,
things will all be in the past,
Wait for the hose to be removed,
and your car is fully gassed.
