Victim Service Unit and Citizen Crime Watch

Both units are invaluable, to the squads out on the road,

You do so much, to help us out, and lighten up our load.

Without your dedication, and all the time you volunteer,

Our Department would be lesser, by quite a lot I fear.

The Victim Service Unit, is there and always ready,

To help the younger victim, with a bear whose name is “Teddy”.

From referrals and straight counseling, compassion, shining through,

You do your jobs both night and day, our hats are off to you.

Crime Watch people out there, providing extra eyes,

Locating stolen vehicles, and helping out our guys.

Helping out at road blocks, with your amazing databases,

Timely warnings given, have prevented several chases.

You continually amaze us, with the dedication that you show,

We hope that through recruitment, both units thrive and grow.

Whenever you are out there, it gives us peace of mind,

There is someone we can call on, a resource that we can find.

Congratulations to you all, and the spirit that you give,

Your efforts make our city, a better place to live.

While we may not say it, or tell you far too late,

Remember we appreciate, the hours you donate.

This awards night is to celebrate, the contributions you have made,

And thank you all whole heartedly, you really make the grade.

One last word before I go, and know this to be true,
