My First Tori

The first time I ever heard Tori's music was in 1994. Every year my high school would put on a fine arts festival that lasted 4 days. They group that would perform practiced in the theatre, which was where one of my classes was. During a rehearsal I heard this wonderful song. It was completely different from anything I had ever heard. Two girls were using "Icicle" as their music for a modern dance number. I went to one of the night performances and that's how I found out who the artist was. At first I didn't take much interest in her, but then slowly I heard more about her, and saw the "Past the Mission" video on tv.
One night I was in Wal-Mart with my mother and I saw the "Cornflake Girl" single and I begged her to buy it for me. I took that single home with me and I listened to it over and over again. I bonded with those songs almost immediately. That CD single is one of my most prized possessions because it was the first of Tori's music I ever bought.
