Some folks think that heaven is a place that is afar.

Many a skilled painter tried to visualize a dream.
Many theologians have devised their clever schemes.
They have not been able to define it so it seems,

Heaven's height is not a height that natural eyes can see.
Heaven is a place in God of high authority.
Jesus won it for us, and God gives it to us free,

Often, we get involved in doctrines that go well beyond what Scripture says, adding to or taking away from the Word.  Sometimes these doctrines can make certain Scriptures seem to be obscure or confusing.  Sometimes these doctrines can keep us from having what God has for us.  We know very little about the Kingdom of Heaven, the Kingdom of God.  However, it is plain that Heaven is much more than a far off place to which we go when we die.  In some way it is within us.  In some way it is at our hand.  In some way we are seated with Christ in the Heavenly Places.  Praise God for His mighty Word and for the superiority of His Word over the doctrines of men.
