There were two sister kitties too, but, as I was informed by these, uh, shall we say, brats'?, mother, that they had been putting them in coffee cans, and when they decided to go swimming, (it was 110 degrees out), they left the two girl kitties in the cans with the lids on, in the sun, AND GUESS WHAT HAPPENED?
I was, duh?, FIT TO BE TIED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I just don't know where kids today get their ideas of how to treat little animals. The thought has never ever entered my head to harm a pet, and my family has always been a zoo!
I guess that no importance is put on the poor little creatures, by anyone these kids know, they have no way of learning.
ANYWAY........
Needless to say, the two boy kitties and Tobie came home with me at not even 3 weeks old. That was a long time ago and I still lived at home with my parents. The two boy kitties I didn't get to keep and even though I tried to find homes, they wound up at the SPCA. But Tobie! Tobie lived for 19 years! She was a little Prima Donna, stuck up and spoiled, but she knew she was loved and stayed with us for as long as she could.
