Interconnectedness
YMCA Earth Service Corps This page's Activities section has some great general lesson plans. "In the Palm of your Hand and Freeing the Bird" is two meditations in one. Both of these meditations can be done by any age group, although I do not recommend it for kindergarteners based on the sitting time. The classic ecological activity "The Web of Life", as it is shown here, is a rainforest activity, but it can be adapted to any biome.

Sierra Club This page's Activities section has a lesson plan for Kindergarteners and first-graders called "John Muir: Long Ago and Now". It emphasizes the skills of drawing and creative thinking. The lesson plan "John Muir: One Person who made a Difference" is suggested for second and third graders. It is about observation of animals in their habitats, and encourages journal writing.

This site is the headquarters of the April 22nd Earth Day. There is another Earth Day, celebrated a month earlier, but most people do not know about it. The April 22nd Earth Day site has links and descriptions of Earth Day events in all 50 states.
