Books and Recycled Products for your Classroom

Print and video resources:

WRI: Environmental Education Project This site has good resources for background information, even though its teacher guides are for high school-level classes.

Exploring the Environment This is Weekly Reader's teacher resource center for environmental education. They have resources for second through fourth grades. Many teachers already know the value of all the materials Weekly Reader produces, and these are probably no exception.

Recycled products:

The graphic above is a modified recycling symbol, to remind us to refuse to buy products that are not environmentally sound, as well as reduce, reuse, and recycle the products that we do buy.

GreenDisk -- Manufacturer of High Quality Recycled Diskettes This company produces blank diskettes from discarded, erased ones. They guarantee all their products against viruses, and their products are cheaper and of better quality than other diskettes.

Note: These are actually products I have used, and (in most cases) they are cheaper than the "normal" products.

If you like my graphics, please don't take them! You can get them free from the companies on this page.
If you would like to link to this page please ask permission first by leaving a note in my guestbook. I got permission from the sites I linked to before I put their links up, and I ask the same courtesy for my site.
