Fistandantilus was an insanely powerful archmage who lived in the
pre-Cataclysm era. He was a very evil person who dreamed of becoming a
god. On his unholy quest to defeat the Queen of Darkness, Fistandantilus
was killed in a freak magical accident. Sadly for Krynn, his spirit did
not die with his body. Fistandantilus's spirit went into the future and
found a new hope in the person of Raistlin Majere. He aided Raistlin in
his Test of High Sorcery and managed to sap away part of the young apprentice's
life force. He used Raistlin as a puppet and tried to lure him back to
the days just before the Cataclysm so he could possess his body using his
unholy magic. Unfortunately for him, Raistlin killed him and took over
his body instead.
