Samantha's Evening Routine

Samantha's evening routine consists of the three B's - bath, book, and bed. The kids usually choose to have Daddy give them their bath because "Mommy doesn't do it right" (and somehow doesn't seem very motivated to try to get it right). Samantha has turned into a litle bit of a history buff. This past weekend, she started asking questions about World War II. Since Tana wasn't able to answer her questions, we ended up calling Tana's Uncle David, who is a walking history book when it comes to World War II. He was able to answer all of Samantha's questions. Then, on Monday, Tana went scurrying off the to public library to find some more books on the subject (kids sure do keep you on your toes, don't they?). The book that we were reading in the pictures is about a fictional little girl who lived during World War II. Did you know that two piece bathing suits were made popular during the 1940's because they conserved fabric? I learned something new today! I hope that Samantha's grandparents are ready the next time we see them because I imagine that Samantha is going to have lots of questions for them about the 1940's and what it was like to be a kid during that time.
