Chapter   Thirty-Two

June opened her eyes. She looked around confused. It took her a moment for her to realize that she had fallen asleep. She carefully shinied down the drain pipe and landed on her balcony. She groaned when she tried to open the balcony door to her room. It was locked. She had forgotten that it automatically locked when it closed. The light breeze must have shut it. She glanced around. She couldn't jump, she could however climb down on the drain pipe. She grabbed hold of it and began her journey down. She was halfway down when she realized she was next to Isaac's window. She reached over and tried to see if it was open. She felt the window slide open with ease. She climbed through the window. She landed on the floor with a thump. She saw Isaac sprawled out on the bed. His eye were open. She must have woken him up when she fell on the floor.

" June what were you doing?" Isaac asked sitting up. June smiled sheepishly. She explained what had happened. Isaac laughed.

" Oh be quiet." June said. Isaac stood up. " I need to go change. You guys are going down to the recording studio today aren't you?" June asked. Isaac nodded as he searched through his closet for something suitable to wear.

" What do you think?" Isaac asked holding up a dark green sweater with brown and blue stripes running up the sleeves and across the chest. He was also holding up a pair of brown cords.

" Whatever. I'm warning you it can get pretty hot in those rooms." June said. He decided to drop the sweater and chords and wear jeans and a white Nike t-shirt. June kissed him good-bye so he could get dressed. She wandered back into her room. She rummaged around in her closet. She settled on a pair of jean shorts and a black croptop. She braided her long hair into two pigtails. She searched until she found her World Industries hat. She put that on too. She wandered downstairs. She walked into the kitchen. She found Taylor and Zac scarfing down pancakes. She cringed. She hated pancakes. She saw Julie smile.

" Good morning June." Julie said smiling. June couldn't help but smile.

" Good morning Aunt Julie." June said. She might as well call her that since that is what she was becoming. Julie seemed to enjoy that and started making some more pancakes.

" I'm making some more pancakes." Julie said.

" Thank you but I'm not really a pancake person." June said politely. Julie thought for a moment.

" We have some doughnuts." Julie suggested. June hated doughnuts even more than she hated pancakes. ( ** I actually hate them both ** ) Julie must have read her mind. " I think we have some strawberries in the fridge if you want those instead."

" Thank you." June said opening the fridge. She pulled out a bowl of fresh strawberries. She went and sat down at the table. Isaac bounced in a few moments later.

" Morning!" Isaac said cheerfully. He grabbed a plate and stacked five pancakes on it. He grabbed the syrup and poured alot on. June nearly gagged at the sight. Taylor laughed when he saw her expression.

" What are you doing after you go to the recording studio?" June asked. The three shrugged. " Nothing? Then maybe you guys will want to go meet Lynne. She's another best bud of mine." June said. " She's Addey's sister." June said directing that comment at Zac. Zac blushed. She couldn't help but smile. She was about to turn away from Zac but she caught him looking a bit guilty.

" How may best friends do you have?" Taylor asked with a mouthful of pancakes.

" Let's see." June said thinking. " One... two.... three.... four..."

" Four hundred thirty-one... four hundred and thirty-two..." June said still counting. Isaac laughed. June was still counting her bestfriends. They all knew she was just joking around but she continued counting and trying to look serious. She finally gave up on four hundred and fifty-six. She watched them as they headed out the door with Uncle Jay. Kay showed up at that moment.

" Kay I just about given up on you." Julie said setting down a plate of pancakes in front of her. " Why can't you ever get up on time?" Kay glared at June as if it were her fault.

" Some one was on the roof. It kept me up all night." Kay said glaring at June. June wandered how Kay had known. Julie began with the dishes. June went to help. Julie apreaciated it.

" Thank you June." Julie said when they finished. Kay smirked and tossed her dishes into the sink carelessly. Poor Uncle Jay. June thought. It was going to be bad enough that she had to spend the summer with Kay, and Uncle Jay would have to spend year round with her.

" Blaine is comming over today." Kay announced. She glanced at June. " He's my boyfriend in case you didn't know."

" Am I supposed to care?" June asked. " I have a boyfriend."

" Oh? Have I met him?" Kay asked with a little interest in her voice. June nodded. " Well who is he?"

" Isaac." June replied. Kay's eyes studied her for a moment then smiled.

" That's nice." She said flouncing out of the room. June didn't like that at all. She picked up the phone.

" Who to call......." June murmared. She called Kara. " Wanna get to do something? I can call Lynne and Sati."

" Sure, want to meet at my house?" Kara asked. June thought for a moment.

" Who's home?" June asked.

" Nobody." Kara replied. June agreed and they hung up. She dialed Lynne's number.

" Hey girl sup?" June said.

" Not much. Did you go to DJ's party?" Lynne asked.

" Yup. Were you there?" June asked.

" Naw. I hear Addey met some guy there. She talked about him all night." Lynne said. " She said he was staying with your Uncle and stuff."

" Zac? yeah he is. Any ways I have to call Sati." June said. " Bye." June said as she hung up. She called Sati. " Hey Sati. We're gonna meet at Kara's care to join us?"

" Hell yeah." Sati said. " What should I wear?" Sati to out loud to herself. She was always worrying about her looks. She had blonde hair that came down to her shoulders, blue eyes, and a figure any girl would kill for.

" Don't worry about that shit." June said. " Just get your scrawny ass over there in half an hour." June said. Sati laughed.

" Ok. Damn you don't have to be a bitch about it." Sati said laughing. June hung up and went up to her room. She searched for her lighter. She found it lying under her bed. She put it in her pocket and grabbed her sunglasses. The glasses were her favorite accessory. They were round gold rimmed with marijauna ( ** forgive me it I spelled that wrong ** ) imprinted on the lens. (** My friend has a pair. I want them!! ** ) She put them on and headed out the door towards Kara's house.
