REEF-QF-3000G Super Ghost:

To reinforce the number of manned fighter the REEF had at Canaveral Base and for flying missions that are perceived to be to dangerous for human pilots, they did large modifications to the Ghost unmanned fighter from Robotech (Macross). Like the aerospace fighter that it is designed after, it is controlled by sophisticated computers. The computers are improved beyond those found in the original because they use a fusion of both Robotech and systems copied from captured Cyberworks equipment. In the weapons area, the original auto cannons for weaponry has been replaced by a pair of rail guns and missile launching tubes. The frame has been modified to improve the fighters stealth and stealth systems from the Coalition Talon Fighter have been copied. The REEF will not sell this fighter design.

To be more accurate, this fighter follows theoretical information about starships operating non chemical propulsion in space. This has meant much greater speeds and accelerations. Listed is the formula to allow player and game masters to calculate the fighters velocity.

Designation: REEF-QF-3000G.
Vehicle Type: Unmanned aerospace fighter
Crew: None

MDC by Location:
Rail Guns (2):75 each
[1] Thruster (Right & Left):150 each
[2] Main Body:400

Notes:
[1] Destruction of one engine will reduce the fighters top speed by half and give the fighter a -3 penalty to dodge as well as removing the 5% bonus to piloting. Destroying both engines will cause the aircraft to crash. Computer may attempt a emergency landing.
[2] Depleting the M.D.C. of the main body will shut the Aircraft down completely, rendering it useless and causing it to crash if in flight. Damage to the main body will also reduce the aircrafts stealth, for every 10% of damage to the main body, reduce the aircrafts stealth by 10% of its total.

Speed:
Driving on Ground (Taxiing): Only possible for take offs and landings as well as for parking and storage. Speed is 40 mph (64 kph) when traveling and not on take off or landing.
Flying; Atmosphere: Fighter has a maximum speed of Mach 5 (3847 mph/ 6192 kph) and is transatmospheric. Fighters cruise speed is considered to be between Mach 1 and Mach 2.2.
Range: Effectively Unlimited
Flying; Space: The fighter does not have an effective top speed but is limited by acceleration. Fighter can reach a top acceleration of 6 G. The fighter will often travel at an acceleration of 0.5 to 1 G for extended periods for patrol. Because the fighter is mostly unshielded from the effects of radiation and hypervelocity atomic particles, the fighter is not operated at speeds exceeding 20% of the speed of light. The fighter can be launched from a larger starship at great velocities but may not be able to decelerate to a direct stop before running out of fuel.
Range: Unlimited in an atmosphere, the engines do not overheat
Conditional in space, The fighter carries 4 days of reaction mass for travel at 0.5 G of acceleration. Double the consumption of fuel for 1.0 G of acceleration and double the consumption for every 1.0 G of acceleration beyond 1 G. this means the fighter will burn 64 times faster at 6 G than at 0.5 G. This allow the fighter about 90 minutes of fuel at 6 G. The fighter will often accelerate for a period of time and then shut down the engine and travel using the fighter velocity. If the fighter uses more than half of its reaction mass when accelerating, the fighter will be unable to decelerate fully and the fighter will normally only use a third or less of its fuel on accelerating so it does not run into a problem. If the fighter runs out of fuel then it must be recovered by another vehicle traveling faster or be lost.

Statistical Data:
Height: 16 feet (4.9 meters)
Width: 26 feet (7.9 meters)
Length: 53 feet (16.2 meters)
Weight: 8.6 tons (7.8 metric tons)
Cargo: Minimal
Power System: Nuclear Fusion with average lifespan of 20 years
Black Market Cost: If found it would probably be worth 40 million for a new, undamaged, and fully operation fighter complete with missiles and rail guns

Weapon Systems:

  1. Heavy Rail Guns: Mounted in the center position for autocannons. They are basically a copy of the Shemarrian Rail Gun. They are fire linked so that both can be fired at the same time.
Effective Range: 6,000 feet (1,828 m) and in an atmosphere and 48,000 feet (14,630 m) in space.
Mega Damage: 2D6x10 per round (4D6x10 for both cannons)
Rate of Fire: Up to 9 attacks per melee (each uses a melee attack)
Payload: 440 Rounds (220 in each gun)
  2. Missile Tubes (4): Fitted where the upper and lower autos cannons were mounted in the original design. The aircraft can use either Long or medium range missiles. Each tube can carry either 2 medium range missile or 1 long range missile. The aircraft normally carries all the same type of missile but they can be mixed and matched. Missiles are assumed to accelerate at 2 times normal mach speed in Gs greater than the starships speed when used in space. Missiles can be launched at non moving targets beyond the powered range of the missiles to hit targets without the chance of the launching ship being hit by missiles itself but penalties exist when launching missiles beyond normal missile range.fighter normally carries long range missiles on intercept missions and fighter normally carries medium range missiles for fighter defense when on ground attacks.
Range: Varies with medium or long range missile types, assume powered range is 8 x normal in space (Go to Revised bomb and missile table).
Damage: Varies with medium or long missile types (long range extra heavy fusion warheads 2D4x100 - Go to Revised bomb and missile table).
Rate of fire: One at a time or in volleys of 2 or 4.
Payload: 1 long range missile or 2 medium range missiles each missile tube
  3. Anti-Missile Chaff Dispenser: Located at the very tail of the fighter are two chaff dispenser. When tailed by a missile, a cloud of chaff and other obtrusive particles can be released to confuse or detonate the enemy's attack Rifts Earth decoys systems are assumed to not operate against Phase World missiles due to technological difference.
Effect: Also note that the chaff cloud will also blind flying monsters that fly through cloud. They will suffer the following penalties: reduce melee attacks/actions, combat bonuses, and speed by half. Duration: 1D4 melee rounds.
    Payload: Eight (8)

Special Equipment:
The fighter has all the standard features of a standard fighter (same as standard robot minus loudspeaker and microphone) plus these special features listed.
