Rockdale Type 4 Repair / Construction Drones:
Robots are a critical portion of both repair and construction within
the Three Galaxies. Rockdale is one among a large number of companies that
construct repair drones. The Rockdale Type 4 is a new design that has just
recently entered into production and is considered one of the best on the
market.
The Robot looks like a vertical cylinder with specialized arms on all
sides. The arms can fully retract and when fully retracted, the Drone looks
like a simple cylinder with a rounded top. The Drone uses a contra gravitic
flight system to move around. While the Drone has equipment that will inflict
a good amount of damage on a target, the equipment is not meant for combat
use. Standard program is listed but the programming may be changed to suit
the needs of the operators of the drone.

Notes:
[1] Depleting the M.D.C. of the main body will shut the armor down
completely, making it useless. Note: Destroying the contra-grav generator
will make flight impossible and the drone will crash if in an area with
gravity.
Speed:
Driving on the Ground: Not Possible.
Flight: The contra grav flight system provide for limited flight
in an atmosphere and greater speed and mobility in zero gravity. The Drone
can hover at any altitude above the ground and fly at a speed of 120 mph
(193.1 kph) in an atmosphere and Earth-type gravity. The contra-grav system
makes the Drone trans-atmospheric and armor can accelerate at up to 0.2
Gs of acceleration. Due to the Contra-Grav there is no altitude limit and
armor can fly into space.
Underwater: The Drone can travel up to a maximum speed of 40
mph (64 kmph) to a maximum depth of 1000 feet (310 m).

- Particle Beam / Laser Cutter (1) Arm:
A particle beam is
used for the most powerful cutter on the Drone and it is used to cut into
virtually any material. The laser is slightly less powerful but is useful
in jobs that the particle beam would not work. The cutter can cut tiny
holes or can cut very long and very wide seams. About the only cutting
job that this equipment cannot perform is micro cutting for electronics.
The beam tolerance is very exact and can perform high precision cutting.
This tool is located on one of the arms of the repair robot.
Range: From effectively 0 feet (0 meters) to 15 feet (4.6 meters)
from arm. Each arm has a reach of about 6 feet (1.8 meters) from the body.

- Plasma Welder (1) Arm:
This welder uses hydrogen at plasma
temperatures to melt materials for use in welding. Like the particle beam
cutter, the plasma welder can perform both wide welding and precision welding.
The Drone carries the various materials used for welding. About the only
welding job that this equipment cannot perform is micro welding for electronics.
This tool is located on one of the arms of the repair robot.
Range: From effectively 0 feet (0 meters) to 1.5 feet (0.5 meters)
from arm. Each arm has a reach of about 6 feet (1.8 meters) from the body.
Mega-Damage: Variable: From 1D4 to 4D6 MDC per melee.
This can also be used to determine how strong the weld is.

welding materials)
- Chemical Bonding System Arm:
This system is used to bond
ceramics and plastic to each other and to metal. The system also has chemicals
used to break the bonding. Basically the system used very strong high tech
glues that glue the materials together. This tool is located on one of
the arms of the repair robot.
Range: Effectively none from Arm. Each arm has a reach of about
6 feet (1.8 meters) from the body.
Mega-Damage: Can create a bond of up to 2D6 MD per melee or
dissolve up to 3D6 of chemical bonds per melee

Payload: The Drone Carries 200 MDC worth of bonding materials
- Drill Arm (1):
This arm has a standard style drill attached.
The drill is used to cut into materials in which the heat would damage
the materials. The Drone selects the appropriate drill bit an uses that
for the job required. The drill bits are constructed from super dense molecular
blades and work on a similar principle to the force halberd.
Range: Effectively none from Arm. Each arm has a reach of about
6 feet (1.8 meters) from the body.

- Electronic Work Arms (2):
The work on small electronics is
far more detailed than what is done with the larger equipment and is performed
by these smaller arms. Each arm has several pieces of high sensitivity
equipment. These include a electronic monitoring equipment, micro tool
system, a tiny laser cutter, and a tiny welder / soldering system. These
take up two arms of the robot. The robot has several small bays with various
commonly replaced components as well solder and welding materials

- Work Arms (6):
The robot has six additional arms for other
jobs. Four arms are standard and have both a claw to grasp objects and
a special socket system for bolts. Two arms are special flexible arms that
more accurately should be called tentacles. These can reach up to 20 feet
but are less strong. Each long arm also has a socket system for bolds as
well as grappling claws
Range: Effectively none from Arm. Each standard arm has a reach
of about 6 feet (1.8 meters) from the body. Each long arm has a reach of
20 feet (6.1 meters).
Mega-Damage: By Robotic Strength, Standard arms have a Robot
Strength of 40 and Long Arms have a Robotic Strength of 25.

Sensors / Electronics:
Various sensors to complete labors including:
- Gravitic Scanner: It fills the same role as ultrasonic scanning
does now and much more. It is useful for detecting hidden objects and compartments,
stress cracks, and even invisible targets. The system can even be used
for mapping spaces and gives exact dimensions. 48 hours of data can be
stored before the system runs out of space. The system can plug into an
Holographic Personal Computer and most other computer systems. The system
comes in two models. One is the civilian model and a military version.
The military version is just tougher than the civilian version but has
the same equipment.
Range: 164 feet (50 meters)
Bonuses: +10% to detect concealment, electrical skills, mechanical
skills, and demolitions disposal skills. +5% to medical skills. Allows
the detection of invisible targets unless they are invisible against gravitic
sensors.
- Artificial Intelligence: Effectively Equal to an IQ 15. Drone
responds to both verbal and computer instructions and can respond back
